Dr.Valium Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Hello to all of you Expert-Modders! To me you are all experts in that matter. To this day I only played the Skyrim Special Edition without mods and today I thought I could mod the original Skyrim with all released DLCs. I want to mod the original Skyrim and not the SE version, because there are much more mods for the original one available. So to spice my Skyrim experience up I decided to buy the original Skyrim and all available DLCs. I started it at first without installing any mods yet and in the intro I got this infamous carriage bug, where it sends you tumbling and flying (I didnt have this bug in the SE version). So I tried everything I could find online like, turning VSYNC on via Nvidia Control Panel, limiting the FPS and I even tried to make the game intro work with mods. But I failed. I tried to mod via ModManager 2 and Vortex. I watched nearly every Tutorial Video on Youtube regarding those two programs, but maybe I am to stupid. I dont even know if the mods I installed worked or not, because the mods which supposed to fix my carriage problem didnt work. So has someone of you a pro tip? I would love to enjoy a completle new lewd experience of skyrim but I am too inept to mod...or so it seems. Can someone tell me how to mod correctly or does someone have a "Modding Skyrim for Dummies" somewhere? PS: If I install SKSE for Skyrim. Do I launch Skyrim via the Modloader2 or via the SKSE Loader? I have installed the SKSE via the installer into my Skyrim Steam folder.

The blog is about his experience in starting over again. It includes all the basics and you should be able to build up a basic Skyrim game including SexLab from this. Good luck and happy hunting!
CookieKookie Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 I faced the same problem when I first starting modding. If you want the basic mods to fix the problem use: SKSE (I use the Steam version) Crash Fixes (READ THE DESCRIPTION OF IT) SKSE Plugin Preloader (REQUIRED FOR CRASH FIXES TO WORK) ENBOOST (SEE THIS VIDEO, VERY HELPFUL) Brawl Bugs Jcontainers SKY UI (I use the Steam version) UIExtentions Havok Fix NetImmersive Override Load Game CTD Fix Unoffical Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch Make sure you read everything stated in the mods description. It would be really helpful if you use this mod instead of the Vanilla Start: Alternate Start Or if you are RP'ing and only want the Vanilla Start. You can start Skyrim with a new game and probably won't have the wagon bug after you install the mods correctly. I didn't had any problems with the Vanilla Start and I hope the same goes for you. And even then if you face the wagon bug. There's another way you can start your game with the Vanilla Start by just using this save file: Clean Save Intro After you're done installing all the mods I listed then you can start adding Sexlab etc... and it won't be a problem for any future mods, not unless you mess the load order up, so make sure you use loot: LOOT (I don't trust LOOT that much, cause it sometimes makes the load order a little messy. But it's a really helpful tool.) I hope this was helpful. ^~^
fred200 Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 The only good thing I can say about acquiring Skyrim LE to learn modding is that there are excellent tutorials. I like Gopher's. Dump all your Skyrim mods for the moment and get your game running stably. You may need to run in Windowed mode. Then watch and follow along:

Just use this: SKSE This will automatically will be added to your Steam Library folder and you can easily start your Skyrim by opening this from your library. But you want to use the website version then just drag the files to your Skyrim Directory (Skyrim Folder not the Data) and open Skyrim everytime through skse_loader
