Can't believe someone put to zanarkand in an epic music thread, that belongs in the sad music thread

Epic and sad aren't mutually exclusive, and it just so happens that I find that particular track to be quite epic... although "epic" in recent times has apparently come to indicate anything between "bombastic" and "dull".

Now, I know mixing Epic with Heavy Metal is unorthodox, but I have to give it to this song, it manages the fusion BEAUTIFULLY. Both are by a Finnish band called Ensiferum, and it has a nice epic build up, but the drop is just awesome. Try it on for size: (ignore the video though)

Hmm interesting I don't really care for the lyric and singing but I definitely like the music. Sounds a bit like a more cinematic version of Dragonforce. Quite often I run across music where I don't care for the vocals and end up wishing that there was a non-vocal version of the same song because I love the music so much.
