SeveN085 Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Can someone link me a working tool that can do that? I've tried Outfit Studio which is also super easy to use it for this purpose, but exported nifs from it are always fked up. In this particular case, Im trying to copy 2 bone weights from 1 male body to another and exported nif always has gap between body and feets in game. Spent some time trying to know why does it happen and how to fix it, then out of curiosity I imported the nif and exported it without touching it at all and guess what it also had seams so I was like nope. Tried Mesh Rigger from this site and while it doesn't create seams, it fucks up mesh completely instead. I've read all 30 pages about it, none of the suggested setting combinations or other fixes in that thread worked for me, so I gave up on this tool too. I have 3DS which I was working with a bit, back when I was making cloak for skyrim - but that was 2 years ago and I honestly don't remember much about it. Are there any other tools and if not can someone simply explain how to do it in 3DS?

myuhinny Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 @sunhawken They already stated that they have used gerra6's mesh rigger and they stated that it messes up the mesh. Mostly because for mesh rigger to work the mesh has to be close enough to a bone node but since it's a skirt that's not going to happen as too much of it's too far away from any bone nodes so it causes stretching. You could try increase the reach of each node but it can only go so far. The best way would be to use outfit studios and then manually weight paint the spots that don't get any weight paint added to them. But since it's a male body they would probably have to use a 3d tool since outfit studios is all female stuff. A skirt might also need bone nodes one thing that outfit studios doesn't have.

What skirt are you talking about? What I linked in my post is a cloak not skirt and Im not talking about it, that was only an example of me doing something in 3DS a while ago. What Im trying to do is to make Dizona Body compatible with SOS and I already did it. Easiest way was to use Outfit studio and copy 2 bone weights from SOS body nif and I think 6 or 7 bone weights from sos schlong nif. I downloaded erect version of Dizona body and removed the penis model in nifskope. I loaded sos body as reference in outfit studio and Dizona body as outfit and copied 2 bone weights which dizona was missing. Next I opened sos smurf average nif(decided to use this one as a replacer) deleted original mesh and pasted dizona schlong in it's place. Loaded both schlongs in outfit studio and copied necessary bones from original sos schlong to dizona and that's it. Problem is that exporting nif from outfit studio creates gaps. Exporting body creates gaps between body and feets and exported schlong creates gap in a way that it is not perfectly aligned with body either and it's like floating a bit in front of the body. meshes before outfit studio meshes after being imported and exported through outfit studio
