snarfies Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Yup, I've gone and done it now. www.otakubell.com/loverswiki/ Very little to see here so far, just made a quick page for LoversWhiteCatCourier kinda by random choice.
Ark of Truth Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 This already exists, while we are happy that you did this. I really can't see the point of doing it as all the information can be found here and in the threads of the relevant mods. Someone who knows about the mods would have to do all the pages as well which can take time. http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=130 We can always see how properly it is but considering people don't read the threads I very much doubt they are going to read a wiki.
gregathit Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I for one would love to see you keep at this Snarfies! It never hurts to post information in multiple places. Much of the information is buried in OP's and scattered inside the threads in various posts. Gleaning it all out and cleaning it up would be a very valuable thing. It would indeed be a monumental task but still worthwhile. Best of luck to you. While I can't spare the time to help very much at all, you are always welcome to ask me any questions that stump you. Cheers, -Greg
gerra6 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Seconded. Putting all of this information in a Wiki is a damn fine idea...so long as you are willing to maintain it.
Ark of Truth Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I would lock it as well. Just in case.
Guest Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 A fine idea! Good luck expanding on it. In fact I'd be willing to help flesh out pages and such if you'd like.
snarfies Posted December 29, 2012 Author Posted December 29, 2012 Please, any help would be appreciated. As it stands there are a number of plugins out there that I have no idea what they do. The thread at http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=130, or at least the first post, is quite incomplete, but yes, its a good starting point.
gregathit Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Snarfies, this post will help some: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=65 Also, much of the information can be gleaned from the OP's of the various plugins. I would say that you post what information that you can find, don't worry if it is wrong or outdated, as it is easier for folks to stop by and edit things (or send the edits to you). I will try to help as I can but my time is very limited for the next couple of weeks.

[/quote'] There are functional differences between blogware, which is what this site uses and wikiware, which is what snafies has implemented. @snafies - I would add to your current MediaWiki and install the extension Semantic MediaWiki (SMW). Semantic MediaWiki (SMW) is a free, open-source extension to MediaWiki – the wiki software that powers Wikipedia – that lets you store and query data within the wiki's pages. Semantic MediaWiki is also a full-fledged framework, in conjunction with many spinoff extensions, that can turn a wiki into a powerful and flexible “collaborative database”. All data created within SMW can easily be published via the Semantic Web, allowing other systems to use this data seamlessly. I don't have the time at the moment to help out building it up, but I can answer questions about it. I've done a lot of research into the Semantic Web, RDF, OWL, FOAF, SIOC etc. By building a semantic enabled social site, other semantic enabled sites and semantic search engines can easily find relevant 'data'. 'Content' on semantic enabled web sites can also be 'consumed' by other semantic tools and enable the creation of rich, interactive graphic visualizations such as hypergraphs.
3m4041 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I'm new so feel free to kick my dog... or ignore me I think it would really help people that want to use Modular Lovers XXX If the Index of mods where categorized. Group 0. Base package, animation addons, etc. Group A. Lovers Group B. Rapers Group C. Extremes Group A. being the tame mods that are fun for the holes family, play well with others, and don't try to kill your game. Group B. self explanatory Group C. mods that require IRL blood price to use. i.e. first born child is required to get the mod running. but alphabetical is good too. makes it easier to find mods you can't use.
snarfies Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 I've been kinda busy this week I'm afraid, haven't worked any further on the wiki at all. 1) I need to set up namespaces, and set the attachment system to only apply to certain namespaces 2) I'll look at the semantic wiki extension - but I'm not quire sure I grasp what it actually DOES that mediawiki doesn't already do.
snarfies Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Per request, I've installed the semantic wiki extension, but as near as I can tell it doesn't function per documentation, and as I'm not clear on what it really does to begin with.... eh.
Guest Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Alright, gonna have a go at this. I guess I'll start with Joburg. This'll be my first time attempting this so sorry if it sucks! Here goes nothing!
vashar Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I moved some thread info onto it, as well as added the Lovers bitch Continuation as a mod. Trying to stick to mods that I know something about, heh.
Guest Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 PHEW! Alright, I'm pretty much done with the Joburg page. As you'll notice I wrote quite a lot How did I do? Also, since I don't have Lovers installed ATM this is all going by memory of the past 2+ years I've used Joburg. If you see something missing, feel free to make an edit! Also you'll see "Known Conflicts" is blank. That's mainly because I wasn't sure what to type since Joburg can conflict with a whole slew of things depending on the circumstances. Again, feel free to edit and add anything in.
snarfies Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Cool, looking good so far. 1) If there's no known conflicts, no problem with leaving it blank - maybe we can even explicitly say "none," I guess (I haven't so far though) 2) For anything involving quests, I envisioned full spoil-y walkthroughs similiar to UESP. See the entry on LSTBravilUnderground (which needs serious cleanup, its mostly copypasta at the moment) for what I had in mind. So yeah, I'd probably want to expand the LoversBitch entry quite a bit along those lines, though at the moment I don't have it installed.
vashar Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is there anything like spoilers on the wiki? Or should we just make a sub-heading titled "Walkthrough," and post everything there? A whole new page would probably be unnecessary.
Guest Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Pages I've done so far: LoversJoburg LoversJoburgNoDelay LoversBed LoversEscapeRapeVPlayer LoversTrueCrimeEx I think I'll do a couple more today. Unfortunately, while I'd like to help on BravilUnderground, LoversBitch, and other quest mods for Lovers, I am unable to do them ATM. Oblivion isn't installed for me right now so I'll have to do others. The Walkthrough format is good, and I agree with the rest of what you said.
vashar Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I haven't even started the Bravil Underground or Lovers Bitch questlines yet >.>;
gregathit Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Also you'll see "Known Conflicts" is blank. That's mainly because I wasn't sure what to type since Joburg can conflict with a whole slew of things depending on the circumstances. Again' date=' feel free to edit and add anything in. [/quote'] It conflicts with LandE
Guest Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 ^ Thanks, edited. I've done a couple more: "3Dorgasm, Aphrodisia, AphrodisiaHUD, Clubcats, DRadar, Jealousy, Love Juice, and HVirus." I'll try to do some more tomorrow or so.
vashar Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 How should we link threads? I kind of like how I've set up the Lovers Creature page. http://www.otakubell.com/loverswiki/index.php/lpk:LoversCreature Can't find much on the LoversCreature_SexualOrgans file. I have SexualOrgans.esp and SexualOrgans_scale.esp, should I upload those? (Admittedly, I forget what they do ) Edit: Added a recommended load order page based on one of Gregathit's post. Can be added to as people find good load orders.
gregathit Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 PHEW! Alright' date=' I'm pretty much done with the Joburg page. As you'll notice I wrote quite a lot How did I do? Also, since I don't have Lovers installed ATM this is all going by memory of the past 2+ years I've used Joburg. If you see something missing, feel free to make an edit! [/quote'] I probably should have mentioned that I rewrote the menu...... I was tired of explaining the settings to folks so I redid them to make sense. See the screen shot in the OP here (click the spoiler): http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2&pid=1#pid1 Other than that, you did fantastic!!
gregathit Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I did a few tonight and will try to do some more as I have time. Edit: I just realized I had forgotten to login so hopefully the edits I made don't get wiped out. I'll make sure to login in the future.
vashar Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 they look fine to me, Greg. Just records it as your IP.
