CTD on vanilla start

When it crashes is it crashing at or around the beth logo? If yes then you have a master that is below something that needs it to be above it in the load order.

 

Not sure if there is something like tes5edit like there is for skyrim LE which can scan your load order and find any problems in your load order.

I'm using Alternate Start - LAL. Character creation works fine, but when I try start the game from there, it crashes.

How many plug-ins is that?

Would you please be so kind as to run FNIS and post here what it generates (this usually begins with a description of your skeleton and ends with the number of animations successfully loaded - simply copy and paste)?

Currently, 200 active plugins (250 is the limit, correct?)

I'd say you need to clean up those consistency issues. Double check and make sure that 1) you are running only one version of ZAP and 2) that the version you are running is for SE. Same for MME (whatever that is). Along that line you might also want to double check the rest of your mods to be certain that they are for SE, (Yes, a little under 256 - preferably 250 or less, is the mod limit).

The consistency issue comes from ZAP and MME(Milk Mod Economy) both containing the same animations. Before the latest update to Skyrim, I had the same warning, but it was never an issue. All of my mods are for SE (except for a few I converted myself, and I tried disabling those) and I made sure they were updated to the latest version of SKSE64.

I've got nothing. You say you have all the masters (per Myuhinny's post). Your FNIS shows that you have the correct skeleton and that you don't have too many animations. You report that all your mods are for SE. I'm out of big ideas. This is the place where you start disabling mods until you figure it out.
