diddy17 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Apologies, I don't know how to go about doing a bug report and all that. If you guys can tell me how, I'll send my mod list and all the other stuff that would be needed to fix my game. If it helps at all, in the console, when I try to start a scene, it says that I cannot start a thread while not in a making state. I'm really sorry if there is an obvious thread to go to for this kind of stuff, but I'm new, and (not exaggerating) I spent the whole day trying to fix SexLab. (it also doesn't start upon a SexLab defeat scene or dangerous nights, everyone just stands awkwardly staring at eachother)
Aylis Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 You might try my pinned 'Skyrim for Beginners' to get a start. Although i'm still tweaking some details and will add a few more mods in the future (the list for ongoing tests is down to 17 mods and patches) it is already solid and doesn't crash. Just take a look at the screenshots and to decide if you like that build.

Are there any notable mods in that list that have to do with SexLab that might have a dependency I missed?

(it also doesn't start upon a SexLab defeat scene or dangerous nights, everyone just stands awkwardly staring at eachother) Did you install SKSE64 and SkyUI and verify that everything worked at that point? Did you install XPMSSE, selecting the HDT rig map, and run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe afterwards? Are your male and female body replacers (including SoS) working, and nude when you undress yourself or an NPC? Did you install Matchmaker to initiate scenes instead of trying to use the SexLab Debug spells? Did you run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe after installing SexLab Framework? Are you making sure Steam is running before launching the game? Are you launching the game via skse64_loader.exe and avoiding the Bethesda Skyrim launcher like the plague? As a rule of thumb, it's generally not a good idea to install more than one complex mod (that means "has a dll or scripts") at a time- in a new game, you should install SKSE64 and SkyUI first then test to make sure SkyUI runs and its page appears in the MCM and all the menus open instantaneously, without delay. Then install XPMSSE, selecting the HDT Rig Map, run FNIS and test in-game that MCM registered XPMSSE, that everybody is walking around normally and nobody is T-posed or frozen in place. Add your nude body replacers and test again. Then install SoS-Full, making sure it doesn't overwrite/override XPMSSE, and test again, making sure every guy has a schlong, and no man has more than one. Install SexLab Framework and Matchmaker and run FNIS again, then test with the simple Matchmaker spells. You should not have installed Defeat or Dangerous Nights until you had confirmed that SexLab Framework worked. It's like you built a nice pretty house without making sure the foundation could hold the weight of the house first and now when the floors are crooked and the window glass shatters spontaneously for no apparent reason, you ask for help. You have to take personal responsibility for modding your game because you are the only one with access to your computer and the game installation you create- others can try to help based on what you tell them, but you're the only one with the ability to fix any of it. Be methodical. Educate yourself (by reading). Add one (or two if required, i.e. SkyUI right after SKSE64 so you can test SKSE64 with SkyUI, Matchmaker right after SexLab Framework so you can test SexLab, etc..) Test at every step. Read the entire description for every mod before even downloading it. (Etc., etc.) I apologize if you already knew any of this, but your post indicates that, whether you knew it or not, you didn't follow it. My advice to you would be to start over since you just installed the game and have no valuable savegames at risk.

One thing to add: when you configure the MCM do 'Defeat' as the last mod.
