FNIS Error and No animations playing (standing actors)

Im getting this error and I dont know what im missing. This is a fresh install. Additionally, whenever i engage with any NPCs or creatures, characters just stand there inside each other (and not in the fun way), while sounds play.

Reinstall Sailing Rebel's creature pack.  Thats what the error is indicating.  If FNIS doesn't run clean, the issues you're having is the result.

On a new install - start simple. Install an animation pack or two, run the game, run FNIS error free, and make sure everything works.

 

Unrelated rule of thumb: Don't install games in your program files directory. Steam yes. Skyrim - no.

What is that rule of thumb supposed to mean? where should install Skyrim other that Program File/Steam/Steamapps etc.?

It means don't install your games in program files.

 

These folders have additional security restrictions and that can interfere with the proper functioning of certain programs. And to play a modded game you need to use plenty of programs.

Anywhere it's fine as long as it's not in Program Files or Program Files(x86). So keep your game and any mod/program related to mods out of program files.
