terrorofmorrowind Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Hey guys I had te reinstall everything from scratch on a new laptop and my font seems to have cut off bottom and top like the edges of the lettering isn't there anymore and any cum eefects ingame are blurry. Like the one from soulgem oven mod. I hav e solved this before but i sorta forgot. Could someone help me please? edit: I'm huge moron when it comes to the cum textures. I forgot to install zaz! Hah, don't you love those issues that come back after not having to deal with it for so long? But anyway. Feel free to close this threat if you like. About the resolution issue. I've put it on 1600x900 and that seems to help a lot more. I set anti-aliasing in enb and turned it off in amd control panel (aka i set it so the game deals with it). It looks a lot better now. Had to sacrifice shadows though. But they look horrible below 4096 anyway. Anyway thanks for all the help anyone!
RW311 Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Is your game setting correct to the display adapter resolution?

Any chance that you might post one showing what this looks like.

Also I have a TN display maybe that screws things up a bit as well but that still doesn't explain the wierd cum effect resolution. it's definately not a resolution problem because i tested in 1920x1080 (native screen res) and the cum effect is still blurred. edit: Ok, Here are some pics. The first 6 are from the font itself. as you can see it isn't sp bad for the main menu or loading screens but as soon as you go into racemenu and start fiddling with sliders it gets very eye straining. The last pics are about the cum effect. As you can see i don't think that's supposed to be looking like that. The reason why i put them in the title is because i think the issue is linked to each other. edit2: Huh, that's odd. In the pictures the issue doesn't seem to be that bad. Could it be a gamma related?

If you could, perhaps, load that screenshot into Paint (or something similar) and circle the issue it would help me a good deal. On the other hand, I see what you mean about the cum effect. The poor girl almost looks like she has a transparent tail! Now I have to ask you to download a load order (preferably from LOOT and preferably in a spoiler) so I can take a look at what may be doing that.

Actually the pictures of the text look better than they do ingame. It's like some kind of "film" is put over it. I've put both load order and load preference of mods in it. Luckily it's still tiny (about 35 active mods) so it shouldn't be too hard to see where the issue may lie. pics+txt's.7z
Grey Cloud Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Do you have Clear Type text on in Control Panel - Display?

Also I forgot to tell that i'm already using that "sovngarde" font that makes the lettering more bolt but the tiny ones are still bad to read.

Obvious thing to try would be to remove this 'sovngarde' font whatever that is and see what the normal font looks like. The cum texture is problably unrelated to the font issue.

Although I've never heard of it doing so, I would suppose that one (or more) of your "fog" mods might be the cause. Finally, if the pictures here look better than your monitor you might want to check your video card driver and/or your .ini settings for video.

I have AMD Radeon Vega 8. as gpu. It is an apu though. I don't see why they should cause issues with an 8 year old game. I've resetted my ini files multiple times (as in made new ones by starting the game with default launcher and putting those in mod organizer). The diable hdr makes you able to remove the auto exposure effect and bloom ingame. (this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53014/? ) Might try that suggestion of the fog one though. Maybe it's the exterior fog remover. edit: just tried again without all fog mods on and still same effect.

The font looked horrible in default skyrim as well hence why i used the sovngarde one.

Is your screen resolution set in SkyrimPrefs.ini? Are you on True Colour (32-bit) in Display Settings? <insert sound of barrel-bottom being scratched>

When i increase it the text also gets better...slightly. I guess I just have to get used to a TN display. I come from IPS which didn't have this issue.

Grey Cloud Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 In W7 R-click on Desktop - Screen Res - Advanced Settings - Monitor Tab. You could also try a different cum texture. Not that there are any great ones out there.

terrorofmorrowind Posted May 19, 2019 Author Posted May 19, 2019 Ok, here's another pic of the cum issue with all shadows off and 1600x900 resolution. Still the same effect and even whiter.

I would encourage you, at the least, to turn this off with the McMenu and see what effect that may have.

You mean the hdr one right? Yeah, she looks like shitting white bricks atm lol. edit: Turned it off started a brand new game still same effect.
