Jormungandr
Requesting this sims 3 hair mod to be ported to skyrim. http://anubis360.blogspot.de/2012/06/peggy-hair-881-retextured-and-fixed-for.html As we all know this has been done by santa before and he isn't sharing, that's perfectly fine, but i don't accept that only he and his friends should have something that's freely available on the internet, so i'm requesting it. Endiness
Hair isn't the same. Anyway, short guide: You'll need these programs.1. The Sims 3 Workshop2. S3pe Package Editor3. If you only have .sims3packs, then you'll need Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to extract the packages from the files.4. The Conformulator5. .tri head files to be used for The ConformulatorStep 1:Run Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter. Select folder containing the .sims3packs you wish to extract, then select the destination. Finally, click extract. You will now have a .package file in the destination folder.Step 2:Install and Run The TSR Worksop. Click on New Project.Click on New Import. Click Next.Click on Browse. Locate folder with the package file you need. In the lower right hand corner, change file type to .package and select your package file. Then Click Next.Don't need to give a project names, since you're not saving anything, so click next.At the finished page, click OK.Meshes will Load. Now click on the Mesh tab in the upper right hand corner.Make sure hair is set to Very high level of detail on the drop down menu, then select the export button to the right.Make sure you save as a wavefront object. You now have the hair in a format that you can load into any 3d program for editingOn the mesh tab, under the group 0, click on the ellipsesbutton on the ride sight on the materials section for handy information you may need later.Step 3:Install and run S3pe. Go to File -> Open, and select the package file needed.Hit ctrl+A to select all files. Go to resource tab at the top --> Export --> to file... It is recommend you make a separate folder for organization. Choose destination path. You're going to be looking at the .dds files to find the diffuse and specular textures. The workshop has the information. More than likely you need to make new normals.diffusespecularRename/save the proper textures files for your convenience.Step 4:Import the .obj into your blender or max. I don't want to get into editing as it varies depending on what modeling program you use. When you're done, you to export the finished mesh as both a nif and obj for The Conformulator.Run the Conformulator. For the first box, use the appropaite race .tri file provided by the file skyrim nexus. I use femalehead.tri for nord races.Next, select the obj you exported from blender or max. Must have only one tri shape per obj.Set Tri options to Full, and click on conformulate.Grab the generated .tri and place it along side the .nif file you exported.Step 5:Assuming you want to use Apachii's method, you need to make a hairline for the hair as well. They will have different alpha properties. Just load up one of Apachii's and the hair you're working with in Nifskope. For you hair.nif1. set BS Num UV Sets to 4097 if they aren't already under nitrishape data2. Change Has Vertex Colors value to yes if it isn't already.3. Go to BSDIsMemebrSkin block, expand the partition section, and chande body part number 131. Just click in the text box and type in 131.4. Remove BSshaderlightingproperties and stencil from the nif.5. Copy and paste Apachii's BSshaderlightingproperties and Nialphaproperties to the hair.nif*6. I make a habit of facing normals of all trishapes and updating tangents afterwards. Right-click on each nitrishape --> Mesh --Face Normals.Click on Spells at the top. Then Batch --> Update All Tangent Spaces.5. If you to know what BSshader settings to use refer to the tsr workshop. The RGB values are out of 255 so 127 / 255 = .498.6.Load in the proper textures for your nif under BsShaderlightingproperties. Save nif.7. Load one of Apachii's Hairline nifs. Remove the the BS and Niaplha blocks from your hair nif again and replace them with appachii's. Replace the gloss, specular, and textures settings to with the proper ones. Save as hairLine.nif.Step 6:Go to your mesh folder, and make a copy of the .tri file generated earlier.Rename the new .tri to match your hairline nif.Step 7:Load up the creation Kit. If your making a new plugin, then only load skyrim.esm. Head over to head parts section under character.Create a new or edit an existing hair for main hair. Basic settings for main Hair part.Create a new or edit an exist hair for hairline. Basic settings for all extra hair parts. Make sure is extra part is checked and type is Misc. All extra parts must added to main hair. Go back and edit main hair record. Right click in the empty space in the Extra Parts section and select New.Select All extra parts the go with the hair. When you're done click ok.Do a File ---> Save to save your plugin. Give it a name if it is a new plugin.Step 8:Enable plugin. Test in-game.I don't remember if bsshaders have double sided flag enabled for hair. I use it all time the time but it can mess up some hairs, so turn off the flag for all nifs if the hair looks messed up. Link to comment

I am using blender, maybe there's something when exporting the obj i need to change, but i dont have any ideia wath it could be. Maybe im fucking something while messing with the mesh in blender, there's a way to know if its my nif file or the .tri file the problem? Link to comment
mortenhoward
Ha! i found wath i was doing wrong, i didn't have added vertex colors on the nif and i was importing the obj file with a wrong scale. Now i just need to scale it correctly Link to comment

I completely forgot that's how textures are actually put on something.. lol I've completely forgotten everything I knew about modding Only thing I've noticed is that it's kind of transparent on the right side? Not that big of an issue, it's more visible in certain lights/angles, but just figured I should say so, in case I somehow did something. Thanks for the hair! Link to comment

Strange, it seens to be a hairline problem, did you configure the hairline correctly in the ck? see if someone else have the same problem. Link to comment

Along with forgetting how to mod it appears I've forgotten how to read, I had read the peggyhairHl as peggyhairHi, I had assumed it was like a version of the hair that was raised a little to reduce clipping or something. Realised it was the hairline and got everything together shortly after! It works perfectly now, thank you again! Link to comment
