bm2x Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I was reading and find a lot of people swear by logging to determine the reason for game crashes. SO I did all that set-up work and I got my logs, buuuut... The last actions: [04/22/2019 - 10:43:01PM] [slainternalscr <sla_Internal (05083137)>]: Wulfgar got -40 exposure for having orgasm [04/22/2019 - 10:43:01PM] SEXLAB - Thread[0] SyncDone(Reset) - Lag Timer: 29.500000 [04/22/2019 - 10:43:01PM] SEXLAB - Thread[0] Event Hook - AnimationEnd [04/22/2019 - 10:43:01PM] [Zad]: OnAnimationEnd() [04/22/2019 - 10:43:02PM] [Zad]: Set slot mask to [338165760]: 338165760 ...so i made the sweet sweet love on Wulfgar, and he was happy about it, and then CTD. Did Wulfgar (only, rest of GBs can be f-ed without a CTD) take a vow of celibacy? Is this just an unfortunate circumstance?

yatol Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 so you believe random blabla and start doing stuff instead of checking to not waste your time? the " [Zad]: Set slot mask ", ctrl f that, bet there are other ones above, and that wasn't a ctd at the beginning, you must have some x can't be load because whatever, was that a ctd? nope there's stuff after
Grey Cloud Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Steam is a complete waste of space in every way, shape and form. Never heard of Levelskip. If you want to learn, read the S.T.E.P. guides, watch Gamer Poets vids (and, if you can bear his voice, Gopher). Papyrus is little or no use for finding the cause of CTDs. CTDs are genrally memory, or more likely in this case, bad meshes. Perhaps there is something about Wulfgar that is different from the others. At what point in the proceedings does the CTD happen?

At what point in the proceedings does the CTD happen? okay, I'll look up the STEP guides... It happened to me 5 times in a row. I would load up, Wulfgar is either sleeping or praying in various locations around HH. I would start the charm dialogue, he is down to clown, or he isn't and I pay him, we fuck in [he chooses] [my ass] [my pussy] [his ass] [I raped him sleeping], we finish, we get dressed, I can BARELY move and CTD. I figured maybe the specific location, or maybe the animation, or MAYBE the whole charm thing (so I found him asleep and raped him, but same thing)
bm2x Posted April 28, 2019 Author Posted April 28, 2019 Okay, so UPDATE I guess, I read and more watched the STEP guides and all that (nope, Gopher didn't make the cut) and I came across a seemingly bizarre test wherein you use the console to force a generic Dragonborn from the title to riverwood, then turn off clipping and boost the living crap out of your speed and bolt around the world and force a crash because the system is trying to load all the everything too fast and can't keep up and eventually crashes. Turns out, as I DO use the console to boost up my character's speed to avoid the boring tedium of walking across nothing between skirmishes, that I was actually the sole cause of CTD as my system couldn't handle the load of loading everything. I went out on a limb and made a new character and DIDN'T drop my balls into the speed multiplier as hard and I've been able to literally play for hours at a clip without any issues or even CTD and I feel sad, and I DID learn a lot, but it was my own damn fault. Thanks for the help, esp Grey Cloud and yatol who actually replied, but maybe anyone else who might find this useful.

I've never used a speed booster, never felt the need. I run everywhere outside; inside I move too fast to run except in large dungeons. Sometimes I forget to switch to walk when I go inside and slam into walls or overshoot my destination. This is childish I know but I recentlyinstalled Captured Dreams and I'm determined to have race with the CD courier. That girl can shift.
