Grey Cloud Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Warning: Generator not run from a legal (Steam) Skyrim installation directory. If you use SKSE, this can be fixed by starting Skyrim once through Steam This warning has absolutely fuck all to do with a pirated copy of Skyrim. It means exactly what it says. I run Skyrim from my F: drive and have had the message for over three years. It can be removed by doing exactly what the message tells you to do. So everyone should get down from their moral high-horses and go back to playing their Skyrim with their slavery, misogyny, rape, bondage, bestiality, murder and theft mods.
Shep67 Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Hello. have you done a fresh install ? Just play it some seconds and this should be gone (or just start the game in Steam). Of cource only with a legal copy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bandygirl1 Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Agreed Greycloud. I can see some peoples confusion though; You need to start Skyrim once through Steam anyways to create the proper filepaths for all sorts of utilities, so most peeps never get that warning. But still; I'm not understanding how people see that and immediately jump to "OMG!!!! PIRATED GAME!!!".
MadMansGun Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 it has nothing to do with "moral high-horses" or personal opinions, LoversLab is legally not allowed to knowingly support pirates in any shape way or form, this includes giving mod support. also most of us ignore that warning anyways and read the actual file paths to make sure FNIS was installed right.
