5. i though sprite something was good it makes editing alot easier but you can only edit certain areas of the game that the program supports and then it changes the games values which doesnt make it compatible with other roms for patches so i reconmend you use tlp 

 

Sorry to bother, but i'm also getting the "FILENOTFOUNDERROR", i downloaded and installed the latest visual studio version but the error persists, i'm using a 64 bit windows 10 and i tried both x64 and x86 but neither did the trick, could you perhaps help me?.

You are probably using 1.67. I use the stable one, 1.65 and its working just fine. And just saying, if you want to extract a sprite from a rom you need 1.45. Versions above that can't open smc files for some reason.

Thank you the program works now, well at least it opens the png without errors, however injecting nude samus into the rom hack corrupted the game, but i'm guessing it was just incompatible with the Super Metroid Subversion rom hack.

While I'm in the mood, here's a quick explanation of GBC palettes. I changed the visor that's green in the M2 color patch to dark blue as an example. The yellow-highlighted region is where the palette data starts in the color patch.

Open the palette screen under tools in mGBA and click one of the colors. That part will be reversed in the ROM.

This is the old, kinda lulzy & terrible nude hack with the other kinda bad graphics hack you can use. Apply the color patch first, then you can either copy the tiles over with Tile Layer Pro or apply one of the patches and go from there. The sprites aren't compressed. You just need to use the plus & minus keys to align them, and the ending graphics are above this location.

I don't have many, so I make my own.

Since the clothes do not lose their shape, only the clothes that expose the chest area will be worn.

That's great!Thanks for your work!Unfortunately,there are no clothes with less fabric  to make them  naked…

If you're interested in psp games where characters wear almost no clothes i recommend Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (the game is a fps but there's in game cutscenes) and SoulCalibur Broken Destiny (Taki and to a certain degree most of the female cast)

Anyone knowledgeable on where to start hacking SMW? Preferably simple things like sprite edit, because to be honest I've never played SMW let alone editing things. I want to make less derpy sprites of this.

 

This is the patched rom if anyone wants to play it:

There are 5 mushroom icons on the top right. The red one extracts the normal graphics into a separate folder, the green one inserts them and the others are for any extra graphics. "GFX32.bin" contains the main Mario sprites, and you'll have to open the rest to know what they are. SNES has 3 graphics formats, usually marked "SNES" (4bpp), "SNES 3bpp" and "Game Boy" (2bpp) in the tile editors' drop-down menus. The Mario sprites use the one marked "SNES" in TLP's "View -> Format" menu. Lunar Magic has its own palette editor.

 

Since I'm in the mood for explanations, I'll also mention that DSVEdit should be able to edit sprites for all DS Castlevanias, Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow. SpriteSomething has an option in one of the menus to download all Zelda ALttP sprite sheets (400+ .zspr files) used in the randomizer to replace Link if anyone wanted to edit any of those. There are no download links for their sprites on this page: https://alttpr.com/en/sprite_preview

 

If people are willing to do Genesis Sonic games, this can get a bit tedious.

Here's the disassembly for Sonic 1: https://github.com/sonicretro/s1disasm

Click the green Code button and Download Zip. Extract it & double click the "build.bat" file to see if it generates the default ROM. The "s1built.bin" ROM should have a CRC32 hash of AFE05EEE if you care to check with 7zip or an online hash checker. The .bin graphics files are in the "artkos" (Kosinski compressed), "artnem" (Nemesis compressed) & "artunc" (Uncompressed) folders.
