Well, I don't recommend reducing texture size. that mean you will get very low quality textures in game.

or.... maybe... I think it can be possible reducing file size by editing .ktid file. but I only get weird words when I open ktid files.

the format of ktid and several other files was changed from text to binary several versions ago. You now need a hex editor to edit these ones.
