Avendros Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Hey guys, sorry to bother you with this, but since three days im trying to get my modded skyrim to work. Now i'm stuck with the uunp bodies, the texture it uses it just broken. for example. It's like this in the preview in bodyslide already and appears like that in game aswell. CBBE ones are perfectly fine. I've searched a long for this issue and everything i was able to find either didn't help or i had absolutely no idea what was talked about there. Please let me know if i forgot to include any infos. Hope someone has the nerve to help me with this. Thank you. P.S: i don't mean the tentacles, they are part of the outfit i screenshotted.
Avendros Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 Weird, it loads for me. I edited it, does it work now?
foreveraloneguy Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Yup, and your problem is that you're loading a CBBE texture on a UNP body. This is confirmed by your statement that CBBE bodies work fine.
Avendros Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 Okay. How do i change that up? I've been reinstalling all the mods multiple times, always selecting uunp options. How do i load UNP textures with bodyslide?
Grey Cloud Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 3 hours ago, Avendros said: How do i load UNP textures with bodyslide? You don't. You install Bodyslide and choose UUNP or CBBE. You install a skin texture for either UUNP or CBBE. I assume that BS uses its own UUNP and CBBE as the tone is always the same.  The one on the left is my pregnant PC wearing Animated Mega Jelly armour. The one on the right is wearing the Living armour. Both bodies are UUNP variants; both skin textures are UUNP and both armours are retextures by C5Kev.
Avendros Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 I tried removing every mod and installing Bodyslide only for UUNP. Same issues. I adjustes the mod collection and just switched everything over to CBBE, at least the game works now.

You can convert the dress with Outfitstudio or, if the mod contains the CalienteTools folder, you can do it with Bodyslide. This does not preclude any corrections to be made later.
Avendros Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 It wasn't about the dress texture, but the body texture. In any case, i have a hard time coming up with a really working selection of mods. Always a ton to read about how things work and possible settings and interaction. Tried several optical mods that never worked without issues, animations not properly aligned, Apropos describing something different entirely than what's happening. Can't seem to get the wear & tear optics to work too, stuff often just looks crappy. Devious Devices works well, they sit on the custom CBBE body perfectly and the animations for the player char look smooth. I am trying to make things work since about five days now, still overwhelmed by the amount of functions, interactions, hard and soft dependancies. Might it be at all possible for someone to give me a screenshot of his selection of mods? Preferably one that works and looks well, so i know i just need to tamper with load order and configuration. If someone feels altrustic enough to want and try to help me, feel free to add me on discord: Avendros#6804 Any help is appreciated.

That way if when something goes wrong you can fix it yourself or at least know where to start looking. Also, one man' liller mod selection is another man's bag of crap. There is no getting away from the learning curve. Concentrate on getting your base game stable then think about loading it down with mods.  There are lots of good guides out there, this is just the one I use and recommend: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.10.0
Avendros Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 That is exactly what i have been doing for the past five days, it is just an extremly tedious process. Especially when you have no idea what the issue actually is. But thanks for the link, i'm going to give it a shot.

Avendros Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Five days aren't nothing, five days are five days. I'm well aware that people are able to spend a lot more time tinkering with modded skyrim, probably doing it since Skyrim was released. For someone inexperienced in these areas, five days without something that works at all, it is rather frustrating. Most of the people i know wouldn't go through five days of work to get the game experience they want, let alone much longer than that. I am impressed by the link you offered, that website is refreshingly accurate and descriptive, i've seen official wiki's from big games done less professional than this. In any case, i didn't expect any quick solution i was merely asking for a template that has proven to work previously. After all, metaphorically speakin, if someone already discovered how to create and use gunpowder, it makes more sense to ask for the recipe and his advice than to attempt to recreate the same discovery. I appreciate your effort in dealing with a guy like me, it is easier to just ignore clueless people than giving them a hand.
TheNoble Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Use mod organizer 2, it will be much better
