hogsmaws Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I've had this problem for years where after the carriage ride my char just stands in front of the chopping block. I've gotten around this in the past by using Alternate Start Live Another Life but I just wanted to know if this is normal for those of us that use all these adult mods. Btw, FNIS has no errors so if this is just what we have to put up with that's cool but just wanted to know if anyone else using adult mods can go thru the vanilla new game start.

A load order would be nice cause the vanilla starting scene did not stop working during the night on its own. At what point are you stuck in front if, before Alduin or after you usually gain the use of your control again ?

While taking nothing away from Mouton18, the shorter answer is yes, this is a common problem. As you indicated, most of us avoid it by using ASLAL. However, if, for any reason, you choose to use the vanilla start what I've done is leave most of my mods ticked "off" until I've escaped Helgen and the game starts the "Dragon Rising" quest. I then save the game, turn on my mods and reload my save. I have had no difficulty with that but it is more cumbersome.
