Purple body texture because of new monitor

Hello,
i bought a new PC monitor with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, my old monitor had a resolution of 1920 x 1080. now i have the problem, that in the game the body texture of my character is purple (see picture), head and hand texture are still shown and the texture of the NPCS is also shown.

I use the Mod BodyChange to change the body of my char, but even if I choose the option of the original body it stays purple.

I tried to use 4k textures instead of 2k textures, which didn't work either.

Can someone please tell me how to get this fixed?

there could be many reasons for having a wrong texture-(look) of body-parts...

first, try to stay true to your favourite body (unp, uunp, cbbe... or whatever), then go for skins which will support your body (best), choose a suitable skin-resolution comparing to your graphiccard (a card with 4 GB VRAM has much more trouble to show you textures with 4K than a card with 6 GB VRAM or 8 - 12 GB. for example)...

4K resolution on screen (I am using it myself) is mostly overrated, if you have not the correct distance to your monitor, fitted textures and so on... compare this simply with screenshots of your game and see, what is in the details... even try to upscale the screenshots from a lesser resolution to 4K with utilities like XNViewMP... and see, if playing at 4K resolution is worth the dropdown in FPS around 10-20 indoors and outdoors without any changes to your game (just the resolution).

ok, you have decided... I have the proper power-pc... I want to play with 4K, how am I solving the false textures, now?

try some steps first.... most likely you have to use BodyStudio to tweak armors/clothes to your bodytype (since many armormods has some buildin-bodytypes within armorparts)... you can test this with a naked body (this should give you all textures back, if there is a failure with Bodystudio or armortypes - some are especially build for exclusive bodytypes... choose the right conversion)

usually a 2K texture is good enough to have a good looking 4K resolution (the scaling to fit it to the screenresolution is mostly the same as you see a true 4K one... with motion it is likely you see no differences but a nice boost in FPS)

try another armor/cloth and see, if it is the same failure

reinstall the skin textures with a (mainstream)-mod... .like leyendaskin, demoniac, or others and see, if the bodytexture is to your liking

try to change your weight

or... simply save and reload (sometimes skyrim has loadingbugs even all is correctly installed and a simple reload will give you back the proper viewing). For example, using flying and starting the flying around skyrim from inside a main-city and landing elsewhere (with changing cells) you will see, that the textures are wrong (sometimes), the usual connected textures have spaces, wrong colors, no grass etc... a changing cell from the map will solve this (for a short time), better just simply make a quicksave... then quit the game and reload this quicksave to have the corrcect textures

good luck in solving your problem

You can try downscaling resolution to 1920x1080 just to test if the issue is vram, or install the skyrim performance monitor to see exactly what is happening in the hardware.

4k display is nice but it's just not as user friendly yet as even 1440 setup which most of the time does not require messing with texture compression or buying a $1k pluss gpu to make the game playable.

Thank you very much for your replies.
Unfortunately, none of the solutions you have described so far has led to any changes.

If the problem is not hardware issue then it's with a mod or the game settings. Does the body remain purple all the time, even without any other armors on and does it happen even if in another cell?

This is clearly the body .nif not pointing to the correct texture location and has absolutely nothing to do with your monitor or resolution.  Even if you install new textures - regardless of their resolution - by default they'll be placed into "Data\textures\actors\character\female".  If your BodyChange mod points somewhere else, there's your problem.  You will need to determine where that is using NifSkope or TES5Edit.

Do you have uninstall some tattoos mod like slavetats or The painted lady ?

Purple body can happen when you uninstalled body mod without remove tattoos or pubic hair.

Ps: sorry for my bad english.
