Trying to download zip files directly from LL trips antivirus.

The past few days, attempting to download zip files directly from the site triggers my antivirus with a warning about the site being infected with URL:Mal.

I wasn't having this issue a week ago...so it might be worth looking into.

For reference, the thread with zips I was trying to download is posted below.

Trying to download that .7z (or any others on site) triggers the antivirus.

I have got the same issue several of times. Usally happens when you try to download one file from inside the treads.

I have Avast/Firefox if that is one help.

It's more of a problem than just a false positive. In my case, instead of my anti-virus blocking a download from an LL thread when I click on it, I instead get an immediate "Network Error - Connection was Reset" error. It never even gets to the download area. This happens for every in thread download link I attempt to click on. Downloads in the LL archive are unaffected for me.

Similar thing on my end as well. Clicking on a download just dead stops the web browser to protect the computer from infection.

AVG, Avast are absolutely notorious for doing this.  If you get warnings from malwarebytes or windows defender, then holler.  Until then, most folks are just going to ignore you.

Sorry for seeming to be dismissive, but those are two of the absolute worst anti-virus programs out there.

I had AVG a very long time ago, until AVG discovered a virus in its own program.
I thought I was crazy, AVG and Avast are absolutely shoddy. :classic_laugh:
and as you already said, Malwarebytes is the best free AntiVirus program what is currently available in the market.
