StupidFox Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Hiyo! So I have Fiss installed and I'm trying to figure out from where I was given this as a requirement for a mod/mods. I am trying to run a converted Oldrim mod called Disparity and it clashes with Fiss to the tune of CTD's. So I'm wondering if FISS is required for any Sexlab mods. These are the ones I use: https://gyazo.com/99c06632bc0342edfaed845803b92445 Any help appreciated!
Uncle64 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Fiss is one mod that is more or less must have mod. And is used for many SL mod. Why do you ask?
sapho888 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Contrary to the above poster, I can't name a single SL mod that requires FISS if FISS is the mod FileAccess Interface for Skyrim Script. If you are referring to FNIS, then yes, many SL mods do require it for animations. If you are using MO, you can uncheck FISS in the left panel and check the right panel for warning signs indicating that they are missing a master. You can then hover over the warning symbol to check if it is indeed FISS that is the missing master file. If you aren't using MO, I don't know the other programs well enough to offer advice except that you should consider using MO or MO2 instead
donttouchmethere Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 some mods use FISS to save MCM setting or profiles dont know any LL mod that uses FISS to do that I know some Nexus mods that use FISS to save MCM settings, but its all optional, means FISS isnt a hard requirement
StupidFox Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 Thank you all for your help. I may drop FISS then so I can use Disparity. Though I've also seen some say that you can use Disparity, then add Fiss later and as long as you do that after initializing Disparity it works. But I dunno. At least I can make it work. Thank yoU!
ppp Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 If you have two or more mods that use FISS, and you don't have it enabled, only one of the MCMs will load. I know Beasts of Tamriel, Skyrim Wayshrines - Immersive Fast Travel (WayshrinesIFT/SWIFT) and Diverse Dragons Collection 3 have 'optional' FISS support (it isn't listed as a requirement in the .esp).
