TheMombassa Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 So I'm not sure what to name the title but I've been experimenting with the Blanket Scarfs Earth Tone Edition for SE and I converted one of the scarfs in outfit studio everything works out okay, but when I load in game and scale my characters weight the normal armor will scale but not the scarf. I was wondering if there is anyway I can make an outfit thats assigned to slot 46 work with bodyslide. I apologize for not making sense but as more people reply I'll be able to better narrow the problem down. Here is the Problem I'm experiencing
RW311 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 partition info should not affect weigh morph. During building project before you hit "save as" did you check that outfit would conform to sliders after you press conform all? If you forget to press this and double check then you save it without slider data and the mesh will not morph, normally this is why you have extreme clipping like this.

All the sliders work with the outfit, even copying the bone weights yields no issues. I've watched and read many tutorials and followed all of them and I'm still getting the issues. I was thinking it has something to do with the slot the outfit is assigned to, but would you mind explaining it in your own words how I would fix this problem?
Guest Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 1. Did you assign the_1 nif to the armor add on? If no, then do it. If yes and it still doesn't work then proceed to the next step. 2. Is weight slider enabled in the esp? Sometimes the CK bugs out and will not enable weighting to the armor add on despite assigning it the _1 nif. To fix this, open the esp in XEdit and, go to armor add-on, and check to see if the weight is enabled under female.

Just downloaded the mod to take a look at and the scarves are all single weight items to start with, if you didn't change it in the CK this is definitely your issue.

I've loaded the esp in xedit but where do I check to see if there is weight enabled for the female character. Also the mod doesnt have any " _1 " it just says scarf_f 15 minutes ago, SpyVsPie said: Just downloaded the mod to take a look at and the scarves are all single weight items to start with, if you didn't change it in the CK this is definitely your issue. Thusly: Spoiler First save the scarf as an outfit studio project, making sure that low/high weight is selected. This is the default so it should be. Now go into bodyslide and build the scarf, it should say that it generated xxxx_0 and xxxx_1: Now launch the creation kit, hit the little folder on the top left, highlight "blanketscarf.esp" and click "set as active file" then hit Okay. This is a good time to read War and Peace or sail around the globe. The CK will complain about the blanketscarves using slot 46, tell it to ignore all. When it finally loads find the object window and under "Items" find "Armor Addon". The mod author was nice enough to start all the scarves with "AA" so they are right at the top. I randomly chose number 20 for this example but if you want them all to work with the weight sliders you will have to do this for all of them. Once you have found the scarf that you want to adjust double click to open this box, click select under female biped model (the thing I have circled). In the window that pops up navigate to the blanketscarf folder and select "scarf_ex_20_f_1" (substituting whichever one you are changing for 20) Press okay to close that window, then save using the floppy disk icon in the upper left. As Sun said, that should do it but you can double check in SSEedit:
SpyVsPie Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 There's also nothing that says you need to use the weight slider. If you just want them to fit your character and you use a higher weight setting you can shape the scarf nif to fit your femalebody_1 nif in outfitstudio and save over the blanket nifs manually. It will not scale with the weight slider and will look bulky on lower weight characters but will fix the issues from your screenshot.

Thank you so much for detailed guide everything works perfectly I kinda giggled when I saw "HENTAI PANTS" in your creation kit image also if you dont mind me asking one more question, blanket scarves 1-9 aren't present in the meshes folder, is there anyway to make them show up in the blanket scarf folder so I can edit them?

I actually forgot I had that one installed until I saw it there myself... I still haven't gotten around to converting the meshes to work with CBBE SE ?. Looking in the CK scarves 0-9 all use plain old "scarf.nif", so just make a scarf_0 and scarf_1 and link them all to those in the CK like I described above.

Well if you follow your own tutorial you'd get it finished in no time and by making "scarf_0 and scarf_1" do i just copy and paste the scarf.nif file and renaming it? Or is there more to it?

The only difference is that you're using one set of nifs for 10 different items.
