Why would you want to use a controller?

Mods require the keyboard as you have to press certain keys, so using a gamepad will not work for them.

 

Like BaconMinion said why use a controller just use teh keyboard and mouse the way it's meant to be played.

I think logitech makes some pretty good gamepads. You can create drivers for any game you coke across and set what button does what.

Yeah, I got a logitech one, it just doesn't work.

 

I know for F3 there were mods to make gamepads work, didnt know if there were any for NV.

 

As for why, just to see how it plays.

There's only 2 controller mods on Nexus for non-360 controllers:

Never used either as I use the 360 controller. Yes, I said it. I use the 360 controller. I also have a mini (and mean really mini - fits in one hand) wireless keyboard for the kb functions I need. If I played sitting at a desk, I would definitely us a K/M as they are more "accurate". However, I play in the living room sitting in a LayZBoy chair. The K/M combo can be a pain in the ass, especially when you have cats that decide to jump up unexpectedly and cause general havoc. I got used to the controller and just haven't gone back.
