From NMM to MO2 - How do i replace single files with MO2?

Hey Folks. Since NMM, which i used for 5 years now, is very much outdated and not longer supported, i finally made the jump to Mod Organizer 2.

This far i'm pretty happy with it, i used it for Fallout 4 and will now going to reinstall Skyrim (which i abandoned for a few months)

But i have a pretty critical question.

As i said, i used NMM a long time, where the files are all stored in the games folder.

I used to build the body i want with Bodyslide UUNP and then pull the body files (femalebody_, femalehands_, femalefeet_) in some other mods, like Bijin wifes, the ordinary women or other follower mods, so they will have my created body.

But MO2 creates a virtual folder, i know. So how could i get the created body files from running Bodyslide thought MO2, and put them into the Bijin Wives folder, so they will have the same body?

I hope i put my request clearly and thanks in advance for answers! :)

You should not copy any file to your data folder when you are using MO.

Instead when you build your body you tell Bodyslide to place them in one premade folder, you do that by holding down "CTRL" when you build the body and do the bash build.

Copy move them from that position, or simply do I as have done many times, create one mod that have the same pattern as the mod you want to have new bodys on.

And paste them in that mod, and place it after the mod you want to change body on.

There is some guides here at LL that describe how you do it.

Generated files (by BodySlide, FNIS, Skyproc patchers, log or ini files from certain mods and similar tools) end up in the "Overwrite" folder (last "mod" on the left panel, you can access the content by double click on it from MO or going to the subfolder ".../ModOrganizer/overwrite"). From there you can drag those files to any destination you want (copy to desktop, paste into an existing mod, create a new mod with only those files and so on). Manually or through MO, it doesn't matter as long as you place the files in the usual structure a mod needs to have to be loaded by MO(like ".../ModOrganizer/mods/<name-of-the-mod>/meshes/..." and so on).

Usually after you run BodySlide all the files are in the Overwrite mod (again, left panel in MO). But sometimes the files you are generating already exist in an installed mod (like the main CBBE mod or a similar body/armor replacer that contains pre-made meshes), in that case the files generated through BodySlide replace the files from those mods, so you can search for them into the corresponding mod folder on your left panel.

You could also build the meshes to a custom directory/working directory (holding CTRL while you click the Batch build or Build button in BodySlide).
