Dorabella Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 I installed Blender with everything necessary as shown here: Converting Armors to Skyrim (the Blender-way) I've done all the necessary steps, but when I need to import the nif file into Blender, it reports an error and of course I can not proceed. What is missing? Spoiler
gregathit Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Are you absolutely sure you have prep'd the mesh properly: 2. Preparing Skyrim .nif files: 1. Open up NifSkope. 2. Go to Load (top left corner under File) and load your mesh .nif. 3. In Block Details (NOT Block List!) open the NiHeader tree. 4. Change the User Version and User Version 2 values (12->11 and 83->34, respectively). 5. Save and Load the .nif. This step is necessary as it will allow NifSkope to change the .nif version. 6. Delete the BSLightingShaderProperty elements from the Block List. Because Blender is unable to process them, we have to delete those elements before loading the .nif in Blender. 7. Save the modified mesh.
Azazellz Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 BTW, on this Japanese wiki-page I found a link to nif-plugin for latest Blender, which can import and export .nif files directly, without any extra steps. Just use google for translate this page.

Of course, I have prepared all the nifs necessary (body, hands, feets, head), and to avoid some problems I saved them in another folder so I always know where to find them (from the trope is a suggestion released for any other work, without having to redo each time), I imported one of these starting from the nif femalebody_0 I will try to redo them, since it is the first time that I perform this type of work, I may have easily made some mistakes 2 hours ago, Azazellz said: BTW, on this Japanese wiki-page I found a link to nif-plugin for latest Blender, which can import and export .nif files directly, without any extra steps. Dorabella Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 Spoiler This is what I get from the steps indicated in NifSkope
Azazellz Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Latest blender (2.7.9), latest NifScripts, Cosio nif "As Is" (without any changes in version or blocks). And.... Spoiler But loading process process took a long time (like 2-3 minutes or so).

Dorabella Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 Yes NifScope is also version 2.0 dev7 https://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4136-nifskope-20-dev/
Azazellz Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Well, then I have no idea why this is happening. For me, everything works fine.
Dorabella Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 I see if I find any resolution to the problem Thanks for your help
crossfire1616 Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Follow this steps: 1.Download Blender 2.79 2.Install Pyffi ( Release 2.1.11 (Nov 26, 2011) ) 3.Install Python 2.6.6 and 2.7.13 (just idk what version of Python, Pyffi is use) 4.Install THIS addon. Done. P.S: Script isn't perfect, i mean materials on model may be broken so use Nifskope after export for fix issues.

I will also try your suggestion. I hope to come up with it, it's annoying to always use things created by others, I'd like to be able to do something too
Dorabella Posted November 1, 2018 Author Posted November 1, 2018 It creates another problem that certainly lies at the base of everything. After executing the change steps of the Change User Version and User Version 2 values (11-> 12 and 34-> 83, respectively) .NifScope, when Save and Load the .nif. he gives me this error Spoiler

Since I can not understand the real source of the above, I attach the nif file that I would like to change. If someone is kind enough to test it to see if the problem is by chance in the file itself femalebody_0.nif

I can import your model, look picture... Model has too many verts (~15k) so it's normal if script trying handle that about ~3min.
