kadsend Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 I know that's there's already a guide for animating on fallout 4 but is there a better way than converting everything all the time? I mean, I do know how to work with 3ds max but all the converting and stuff makes it a major annoyance to the point that none of my animations work at all (bones missing, HTC warnings, etc) Look, I'm not despising all the great work that the FO4 modding community is doing for this game, but I have to admit that the F4AK is 2 years old already, so there should be a new way to make custom animations, at least I hope so. It's fine if not ,but if there is I think it should be worth a try. Can be paid tools...I don't really mind
Leito86 Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 That guide is still good. There isn't an easy way of creating animations as Bethesda's modding tools are limited. The process can be tedious and mind numbing, but it is what it is. I don't suggest converting your own skeleton.txt files if you're just starting out (although if you do want to do it, you can always compare one that works and one that you just converted with HKXPack) There's several rigs around here for creating animations (there are others besides these but I don't want to hunt for them)

But it seems that these rigs were made with a newer version of 3dsmax (Mine is 2014 ;-;) So, seeing that, which would you say is the best version for animating now? And is there is an available nif tools for this one? Thanks
