This issue only happens when my character is not wearing anything.

First the obvious. Your character is wearing something.

Second and just as obvious. Remove the bracers and see what happens.

Either scale down the body size from porker to something slimmer or use Bodyslide to get your body and armours on the same page. And before you ask, there are lots of good tutorials out there on using Bodyslide.

removing bracers reveals a massive gap at the wrists.

making the body slimmer doesnt do anything either

EDIT: okay so i reinstalled the mod and it seems to be fine. whenever i try to edit the body in bodyslide this issue will occur. guess it's time for me to stick with the original one

It has to do with some edits or conversions from fallout 4...  the wrist is the same area that the pipboy is generally located.   Look up some conversion tutorials and you will see that you can simply remove it in outfit studio.

Any ideas on how I can fix it?

I would say Morphs are missing in the bracer.
Load the bracer-project in Outfit Studio, then load the body as a reference.

Presumably missing "ShoulderWidth" morph or similar.

In Oufit Studio you can also load your slider preset - this makes it easier to see which morphs are out of tune.

If the missing morph was found, disable all sliders and activate only the one. Then apply selected sliders to bracer.
