[Solved] Purple face main character

Hi all,

 

I don't know if this is the same as the "grey face" or "dark face" bug, because I never had them before.

 

My character has lost her face texture, it is pure purple. Not the usual blue texture when the texture is missing, it is purple. I googled it for a while and tried some advices, but nothing seems to work.

 

When I start the showracemenu from console, and I change between races, ALL have purple faces on females, vanilla and custom races too.

 

I have 2 mods with femalehead.dds (_msn, _s and _sk too), "Dimonized Face 2" and "Yami Neko Race UNP" (I use this as my race). These are in different folder structure, not overwriting each other.

 

I put YamiNeko.esp at the end of the load order, that did not help either.

 

So I definitely have face texture installed, nothing overwrites them (I use MO) and still they are nonexistent as far as Skyrim is concerned.

 

Any istant idea for solution?

Can you have an overlay==tattoo in head without the texture???

I tried to add tattoos, scars and complexion in the racemenu, the face stays purple. The overlays don't appear.

Thanks GenioMeastro, you gave me an idea and it worked.

 

I removed a mod earlier, which actually used SlaveTats. That mod left a setting (although it had an Uninstall option) for 2 face tats, but when I removed the mod, the textures went with the mod, so there was nothing to display for SlaveTats.

 

So all I had to do was to set these faulty settings to "No Tattoo" in Slavetats and the texture came back.
