 Anyone knows this game...

From what I see it looks amazing but we all know that so much candy can only mean either a very good game or a money sucking machine !

Black Desert Online

It looks amazing ...love this games , reminds me of Skyrim and the Witcher in many things...A Mix maybe...

Anyway it doesn't look bad but for sure get your wallets ready type of game !

I've sank somewhere around 1,000 hrs into this game and maybe in all that time spent 50$ give or take 20. They will start you with a 7 day pass which is like a p2p thing, but it opens the AH so you can maximize money. So after the first day of learning the basics, and a few days grinding for money. It's pretty simple to get. I stop playing for a few months came back and had well over a billion. Biggest issue was collecting to make it to the bank cause money weighs. But anyway if you can handle a grind, its pretty addictive there is so much to do other than just combat. Crafting is insane, everything from boats, carts, items, furnishings, etc. Its not hard to get the 15$ or however cheap it is on steam currently. I spent the money i did cause i liked the game enough to support and I'm aesthetics whore. Just be prepared your gonna spend hours HOURS!! In the character creation screen. Its surprisingly detailed, and with a little patience your seriously only limited by imagination. This is kind of a ramble but hope it helps =D

Yup. Probably the best MMORPG in the department of character creation of this generation in my opinion. I heard it was kind of a grindfest though. Almost on par with Silk Road grinding if anyone remembers. I cannot say for sure as I only played with the character creation and didnt experience the game itself.

I think the cash shop prices are stupid.

50 dollars (USD) for a tent when I can buy a much higher quality tent in REAL LIFE FOR CHEAPER

That one is the most obvious example. But 30 dollars for an outfit is dumb too as with 30 dollars can buy a bunch of games on sale for that or half price of an AAA newly released game.

Moving on from stupidely overpriced cash shop and skipping things like pets/value pack etc....onto the actual game

-Combat is great, best I've seen in an MMO and better combat than most games of other genres

-Character customization is bar none the best as far as MMOs go

-Game is stand in an area and go on a "circular" path killing the same mobs over and over. Turn off your mind and grind. PvP is pretty casual as well but I personally like that, its BETTER to die in PvP than it is in PVE (cause lose exp dying in PVE and it can take a super long time to get 1% exp, pvp lose pretty much nothing in death)

-Not much of an economy, its pretty controlled. I prefer real auction houses like WoW has, or player shops/stalls like some asian MMOs tend to have. Bidding on any item is super RNG and vast majority of time you won't get that item if its one a lot of people want.

-Game is filled with RNG on top of RNG with more RNG here have some more RNG and hey lets add some RNG to that cup of RNG

-Graphics are beautiful, though not very nice pop-in effect which is a pet peeve of mine but some don't mind

-AFK simulator

-Probably most or one of the top lively worlds that doesn't feel dead as far as MMOs go. NPCs traveling on the roads, people everywhere, everywhere filled with life...one of the best most lifelike MMO worlds

-Pretty grindy, most people get bored quick cause of the grinding in one spot thing and not much variety of grinding. Combat helps a lot though

-Hey a house system that doesn't suck, and you can even live in the city instead of forced to "housing areas" that so many MMOs do. +3 to the housing system in the game

-Holy shit the daily rewards you get are insane, though downside you feel forced to log on every day and stay AFK logged in to get all rewards. But I guess its to get/keep you in the game.

-Since you are encouraged to stay logged on, having the game running all night and all day probably not good for PC/electric bill.

-Mostly cause of the combat system, but all the classes are great to play and well designed. Not a class I personally didn't enjoy, though my favorite is Lahn.

-Ship vs ship combat (didn't do this though)

-NEVER do the stupid blackstone upgrade item thing...100% buy any upgrades on market, you'll save money, stress and a lot of time.

-Don't play if you have low self control on buying stuff

And I think thats all the main points. Only one I didn't get to was crafting, but personally didn't do that. Crafting isn't something I do in most MMOs unless its specifically designed around crafting.

I don't play anymore though, mostly cause of the very last thing I added there in the bullet points. But also don't like how expensive the cash shop is cause I think 50 dollars for a tent in a game is dumb as hell, nor did I enjoy the grind after a while but it was okay so it wasn't really that, cause Lahn is fun to play for me.

its a bit grindy but the stuff you can do is amazing. I spent most of my time life skilling and selling boss gears on auction house not easy but you get quite a bit. plus I also enchant stuff and sell it cause well money. idk anymore but if you go to sausans its an ok grind spot for xp and money for beginners. Only issue with sausans is pkers, but other than that pvp is fun hard as fuck though. Its a good mmo just stopped playing because it kinda became a second job when i was in a guild and ended up devoting too much free time playing it than anything else I work 10-12 hour shifts so a game like this requires a hefty amount of time. I couldnt stick with it, but its good.
