Ark of Truth Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 This how your meant to do it!! We are not meant to freedom of speech here Taken from the Nexus I HAVE GIVEN THIS MOD A GOOD TEST- REVIEW: Well, this mod is pretty great. But there are too many niggly problems. All the ships are generally very buggy. They work fine for a while, but with gradual play, you will end up not being able to enter the ships in most cases (the doors kinda disappear), fast travelling to your ship puts you on the bottom of the ocean, setting off on a journey will plonk your character in a spot where he/she will get trapped (curious clara especially- i ended up inside the mast :/), sometimes map markers or even the ship itself disappear. NOT a mod for inpatient people lol. Should be a 10/10 mod- shame it needs polishing... shame it needs polishing... shame you didn't read the readme... What are you trying to say you smart ass? i read the readme and overall the mod needs POLISHING- its not like im saying its broken. its a good mod (i could have said its crap) i could also have been sarcastic & obnoxious and say shame you dont understand freedom of expression/speech... beta or not' date=' im just reporting problems so people know- i wasnt directing that comment at you... In general it is a bad idea to insult a mod author. As a matter of fact, it is an insta-ban offense. Something that you have just committed in a no-strike zone. By the way, you have no freedom of speech on a private property (e.g. on privately owned forums). -LM
Ark of Truth Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 Well he did call the guy a smart ass but that was about it. Not really worth insta-ban is you ask me.
gregathit Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I am guessing that had he left the first comment and not gone further he would have been fine. It would be interesting to know if the readme contained information that would have resolved the problems he was reporting....
Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Since when did we have freedom of speech here?
gregathit Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Since when did we have freedom of speech here? You don't. Ark did not say you did, unless I misread\misunderstood his post. There is greater leeway here but not total freedom.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 There is greater leeway here but not total freedom. That's what tor is for .
adrenaline Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Nexus is too strict for me, so I haven't uploaded my mods on it yet. I guess I will probably get banned within 3 months if I become an active member there, for saying something wrong or not writing readme in the right way. Silence is gold on the Nexus.
Emily Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Nexus view their contributor as their best asset. Some people can be easily depressed due to the fragile nature of man and They easily break and broken at any troll chew.out commentary to their work. When Slof leaves Nexus she gives pretty much damnation to Nexus due to her gay mod flaming. So.. well, nexus ban every offenders they can preserve their contributors. Sometimes though they also bann their contributor for breathing wrong. But Then, You should bann Troll. Emily hate Troll.
Ark of Truth Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 Mod is "Side_s Sailing Ships" http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/29688 It's been in Beta for coming on 3 years and the last update was 20th September 2010, 20:30. I started creating a mod like it but never finished it. Seems like the modder doesn't even want to bother about it now.
deathparade Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 So that nexus mod sees the nexus as "private property"?
deathparade Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 You can't see the internet that way in my opinion i mean you do make you site public and it's being used publicly... Just my point of view!
srayesmanll Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 You can't see the internet that way in my opinion i mean you do make you site public and it's being used publicly... Just my point of view! I own a store, people use it publicly, but it is still my private property. Being on the internet doesn't change that.
Emily Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I'd fire impolite, ill manner, tempramental employer at my store. Literary. People are fragile. Aside from that they are also lazy, arrogant amd stubborn as part of their nature. Being on internet doesn't change that. Take a good Leadership to keep them running on respect for themselves and for their team.
