SMP and PE compatibility

Hi everyone,

 

Just wanted to know whether or not there is a patch or something that allows the use of hdt pe and hdt SMP mods together?

 

For me, the jump to SMP has been too sudden since so many mods don't have it yet and probably will never be updated to have it. So I want to be able to use both.

Mutually exclusive, and SMP is three years old, so this "sudden" you speak of does not exist.

 

PE also doesn't exist for SSE, period.

 

Any mod that uses PE except for hair can use SMP, you just need the appropriate xml entry and reference.

I say "sudden" because I'm fairly certain you'll realise that most clothing/armor mods do not use SMP and only recently has there been an increase in the amount of mods using SMP. I've been on Loverslab for a few years now so I would notice it if SMP had been in use for 3 years in majority of clothing/armor mods (otherwise people not just myself wouldn't have this problem).

 

Clearly no one has set up something that allows for both yet, otherwise I'm sure you would have redirected me already.

 

Also, I'm fairly certain this is the LE section of loverslab so referencing SSE means nothing to me.

Several people have set up things for both, the issue they're inter-exclusive, because you can't mix meshes or capsules/slots.

See this? This is your answer for anything that doesn't have trailing bones.

 

For things with trailing bones you need an exact match for the bones, which means writing the xml or renaming an xml that has the same bone setup, and if you'd used the same amount of effort perusing the stickied threads/files and SMP clothing coming up on searches on baidu and the nexus as passive aggressively critiquing my post, you'd prolly have the file you need to get started already, and you don't even need to edit the nif blocks.

Hey, I have the same question. I want to try out SMP but all of my armor mod is HDT. Will it work with SPM? Is there any spefic configuration need?

Clearly this guy is in agreement with me. No one has explained pe and SMP well or made an easy to use set up, which is what I asked for in the first place.

 

Seriously, it is not a lie that it is easier to have someone make you feel like an idiot than help you on the Internet. Especially when I'm just asking a simple question that ALOT of people want help with.

 

I mean, surely it'd be easier to just post a link of where I could find such a "appropriate xml entry" than go on a spiel about searching for it myself. Especially when it is such a niche thing...
