I really want to play a High elf with the Live Another Life setting...but they are so ugly...

There are preset faces one can get at Nexus...but how do I add them...why don't they show up in the game's preset faces?

Am I missing something?

Try a NPC overhaul mod such as Dames of Skyrim

This will alter the looks of almost evey female NPC in the game. If you don't like this particular look, there are lots of other overhauls/makeovers. The number of NPCs affected varies with each mod.

A preset will not look exactly the same in your game as it does in the images on the mod page. Presets only affect your character.

They actually added to the preset selects or did they come as j.slot files?

If it is a J.slot file it doesn't automatically appear, you have to import it.

Copy the file to here. (It'll be in yer main Skyrim folder if yer not using mod organizer)

In the race menu go to presets tab and press F9

Find it's name and click it.

If it came with a .nif file you'll want that too. Go to the Sculpt tab, press F9 again and find it's name.

This is where you put the presets:   Skyrim/Data/SKSE/CharGen/Presets

Once done, go ingame and type into the console showracemenu and go to the preset tab.  Then press "Load Presets"   You should find all the presets there and you can choose the one to your liking.   This is also the same place where you can customize a preset to your tastes and save it to that place.
