Followers Go Home

how do you make followers go home to their original home (i.e. Piper back to diamond city)? the mod "followers go home" I think is broken as in not maintained by the author so if you read the comments its full of "its broke" posts. is there console commands that we can use?

Cancellng the location prompt (Tab by default) makes them go home, but if you assigned a home cell once that follower will always got here even if you cancel the prompt later.

For as long as you did not assign them to any settlement, backing out of the menu will make them go back to their original Location (Public Occurrences for Piper for example)

However, one you have assigned them somewhere, this will be their default location.

There is no in game option, i am aware of, to revert them back to their original location.

However there is a Mod for that:

It allows you to send your companions to their original Location OR even assign them to Home Plate if you want to.

I have not used nor tested the Mod since a Year or so, so i cant tell if it still works.

yea I remember using that waaay back when it first came out but I think it doesn't work anymore if you read a lot of the posts. I think all the beth updates and the mod author not keeping up made it not work anymore.

Just read the mod description, and try it yourself.

 

I bet the people who don't have it working are using a multi-follower mod like UCF, which is also mentioned in the description (possibly with a workaround).
