Description

 

Decided the cards you pickup in this game are a little tame for my liking, so i decided to fix them. The cards are just naughtier versions of the models already in the game. Some are obviously censored because they're idols/very strict laws and only a few of them went the un-censored route. If i decide to make another pack, i'll probably just use different models that are uncensored, but i won't do that until i figure out how to swap the videos in the erotic video store.

 

Requirements - 

• PARC-Archive-Importer
• zip/winrar

 

Installation

 

Installation is a little annoying and sadly not just a drag and drop situation.

 

1. Download and extract the telecard.zip file to a folder on your Desktop. (or wherever you'd like.)
2. Download "PARC-Archive-Importer" and run it.
3. Click "Open Archive" and navigate to your Steam Yakuza 0 data directory then into "pausepar_e" folder. (In my case, this is it: F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Yakuza 0\media\data\pausepar_e) < Yours maybe different so find your own path.
4. Click to open "pause.par" (Make sure to backup the "pause.par" by copying it to your Desktop or renaming it "pause.par.bakk")
5. Once loaded, select "Widen"
6. When that's done select "Open Files" and navigate to your saved telecard folder that you just downloaded, ctrl + a to select them all and click open.
7. This will load all of the images into right window, now just click "Inject" to inject all those images into the .par file. (This can take a long time and will lock up the application so just be patient. It usually takes around a minute.)
8. Once that's finished, click save and save it in the same location as the original "pause.par" file overwriting it when asked. (You're good to overwrite because you have a backup, right?)
9. Done, load up Yakuza 0 and the cards will now be changed in your album as well as new cards you pick up off the floor.
10. Enjoy.

If you own the game and would like to test something out, please message me. If it works you'll be added to the credits as a tester. My theory is to just upload the already edited "pause.par" file basically turning it into a simple drag and drop system, although not sure if it'll work and that's why i need someone to test it for me. Your game must be completely vanilla and i'll give you my edited "pause.par" file and you just drop it into "Yakuza 0\media\data\pausepar_e" overwriting the original. (Making a backup of the original first though.)

Tried this mod, very good idea. But the game "squish" the card in game. The dds look fine if i use an external viewer. Maybe you should stretch the picture to get the card right in game.

I tried finding images that were high enough resolution so they'd still look good when i shrink them down to the cards size. I had issues with trying to fit the model into the cards frame so stretching the image may make it look much worse, but i'll mess around with it and see what i can come up with.

Sorry for the long reply. Yes, I am currently working on something similar for Yakuza Kiwami. Not sure what direction I want to go yet because It'd be easy to just swap the cards for pornstars as I've already made the template for the cards (apart from the skill cards), but what I was thinking is to rip the models from the game, nude/rig them and pose them for the cards. That way, you'll still have the same character on the card, but she'll be posed nude. And for the the skill cards, I was thinking of doing lesbian poses between the characters.

 

This is obviously a lot of work and not sure how well it'll go. Here is a WIP sneak peak at the template cards and an original card for reference. (everything is non-destructive and can be changed.)

I decided to put the stats on the side of the card. It didn't look right them being in the middle, but that is probably just personal preference. There are a few things I still don't like.

 

Need to work on that strength box as it doesn't look great, but should be an easy fix.

Probably need to resize/position the stats better.

I also added a foil type overly to the side so it looks more rare. (This is just an image, it will not be "shiny" in-game.)

I added a drop shadow to pretty much everything. Not sure how it looks compaired tot he original.

Heads up: Using Ryu Mod Manager, the need to manually insert the .dds files into the .par is no longer needed. Download and extract RMM, follow the steps, and extract the attached folder into the mods folder. It should be easy enough to understand, but you will need to add the folder name to the modlist file (here, it's "Yakuza 0 Erotic Card Swap"). Make sure that in the actual folder, the first file you see when you click into the erotic card folder is "pausepar_e"; this means that you've got the folder at the right level.

 

Technically, RMM should make it possible to just add the .dds files directly, without the .par file needed (the one attached here has all the images inserted already), but I haven't figured out how to get it to work. If someone can check that, that'd be extremely helpful.

 

And before anyone asks, RMM doesn't work for movie clips, so you can't use it to put in the erotic video mod for Y0.
