SoS player settings in MCM do not save after exiting the game

Namely, the schlong size.

Each time after booting up Skyrim SE through SKSE64, the notifications tell me something along the lines of "SoS: first time initialized" despite it not being the first time initialized. Then I check my character, and although I've made changes to the Schlong size slider in the Player/NPC Settings tab (for my character), they'll just not save upon the next time I open the game. So then I go into MCM > Schlongs Of Skyrim > Player/NPC Settings and I find the "Schlong Size" option grayed out, saying "SOSRACEMENU" (which I've determined through googling that this option for sliders is only available through Racemenu, which isn't out for Skyrim SE, and I use Enhanced Character Edit anyway so I have no sliders available to me). The only way to get the MCM slider back is by going to the General Settings and clicking "Restart SOS", which removes my Revealing settings for outfits. Strangely, it does save "revealing" settings for clothes and armor upon opening the game, so they only disappear through resetting the plugin.

It also doesn't save distribution options for the schlong add-ons, but I don't care as much about this as long my own character remains consistent.

I just want the settings to remain the same upon exiting and opening the game, and I'm not sure what is going on. I saw a suggestion to disable the "SOSRacemenu" plugin, but is changed absolutely nothing. I also tried to reinstall XMPSSE and picked "Enhanced Character Edit" and then later "MCM" which also did nothing (and ended up turning into a reinstall-fest of several files).

If it matters, I have this as my load order:

As a workaround until you get it figured out, you could use Lazytools to adjust "genital size" (100% >> 120% >> 141% etc). Dunno if that would help the frustration level, but fwiw.

I have exactly the same issue.

Doubt it's the exact same issue as this is a 2018 thread. OP mentions Racemenu not being available at the time, this is not true nowadays.

Only racemenu available in SOS even though I use MCM option in SOS installation.

The MCM option in SOS has nothing to do here (in fact I'm almost certain you don't want to select MCM in that, you should select Racemenu in the first option). The difference is the SOSRacemenu plugin which is installed as an optional patch in XPMSSE.

  • If you have this patch you'll be able to use the Racemenu sliders to adjust size and shape.
  • If you don't install this patch you can only use the SOS MCM to adjust size.

So either use the racemenu sliders (you can go into that menu with the showracemenu console command) or remove the SOSRacemenu plugin and use the SOS MCM.
