SCR Clothing Evaluation

(It's part of SCR now, right?)

The trouble I'm having is with setting the ears/horns/tails from Kaw's Cat Outfits as non-removable during sex.

After I pick that option for one of the pieces of apparel in Cloth Eval, CE's menu closes and I can't reopen it anymore for anything - the hotkey just stops working. And the apparel still gets removed during sex.

 

I'm using SNG v2.6.72b1 and SCR v20121008.1.

I haven't had a lot to do with DoctaSax's Clothing Evaluation Mod other than adding it to SCR, I barely get time to run my own mods let alone other peoples, I'll have a quick check through the scripts and make sure I haven't accidently broken something somehow at some point, but DoctaSax would have a better idea how it works :)

I think I'll add a formlist for the next release for Extra Body Parts like wings, tails & ears.

That particular version of clothing eval is only for upperbody stuff, so if those items use other slots, they're not the ones it will be performing its tricks on. Chances are you added something else to the safe list with it. NG's new way of handling undressing means everything is now taken off by default, and clothing eval in SCR hasn't had the chance to catch up yet. Try http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6307 instead - it should detect more slots (been a while since I looked at either version).

 

What has me puzzled is how the messagebox system could've got messed up 'cause I always figured it was sturdy. Enough not to have an easy reset in place, heh.

You could do following: the formid of the quest is xx04369C with XX being the load order rank of SCR. In game mode, open the console, type:

set "xx04369C".evalkey to 0

set "xx04369C".clothingevalinit to 0

set "xx04369C".menustage to 0

Then the whole thing should reset.

 

However, if Hal would like to get rid of the whole thing to avoid further help requests, I wouldn't take it badly. As it is, it's obsolete. I'll start work on a new version in a week or two.

Ah, so it's not me just being a doofus then. :)

 

Resetting did work, but only until I tried setting up the above apparel again.

So. I've tried sen4mi's MCM supplement (and gosh is MCM easier to use :P), and while it does find the above head gear (I only checked devil horns), it still misses the tails (must be using some exotic body parts). Bugger...

 

I guess I'll have to wait for your new version, then, Docta. :)

It also doesn't pick up the lace stockings and some of the other optional wearables from Jonas clothing mods http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47059

 

I was able to get them wearable previously only by bugging them out in the powders ganger tryouts mod that loogie recently fixed ;), would be cool if you were able to get whatever slots they are in picked up by the scanner thingy.

Well, it appears the apparel that uses only the "Body AddOn 1/2/3" slots is the one affected (even though, looking through the scripts, they should work).

So the easy way out is to change the slot the problem clothes use, which is just a few clicks away in FNVEdit. I've changed the tails to use the Backpack slots (which I never wear anyway) and MCM supplement recognized them right away, and it now works just fine.

 

May be something you could do for yourself with Jonas clothing mods, as well, theskid... if this problem's still on your hit list, two weeks past. ;)

Hehe well it's not exactly high priority, but possibly something I could take a whack at. I've look at the geck tool (and made csustom race for a single texture for my char) and it felt like I was following archaic black magic rituals with no rhyme or reason.
