Arcturus7777 Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 what is going on with skyrim. I had it working, but wanted to start a new play thru. SO, I uninstalled the game and installed new. Now I can not get it to stop CTD, with 15 mods installed. I had 203 before. I been trying for days with both MO 2 and NMM. has something happened with windows 10?
chris59101 Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 did you edit the ugrids to load in the skyrim ini in your documents? I know this will cause a crash if you turn it up on a savegame and then turn it back down. It will cause a crash when it loads in. If you did not edit the ini then this is not your problem and you need to find out which mod is causing your problem. Also, did you run fnis for any animations? Is your load order correct. I use LOOT and it works pretty good. If none of the above apply install one mod at a time and do a test run on a new savegame every time. Unfortunately time consuming, but it is worth it in the end.

Unfortunately time consuming, but it is worth it in the end. thank you for the reply, no ugrids edit, using loot, it works with current mods installled, then it doesn't when I load a save, or it will no load any save or start a new game, after working. so I add mods, run game, setup mcm menus, play a bit to make sure working save game. exit. restart skyrim, load game, and have problems like SKSE load screen reappearing and game 5 -10 seconds, the play screen the load screen in 5 to 10 second intervals, or it CTD on save load or new game.
