If i start a game and all mods loaded all is fine but than if i load the save again i dont have hair and he load the mods again and after short time its crash than. Make new safe and close game. Restart and load. If Mod initialization messages appear, repeat step 1 up to 3 times. 3. Still issues?-> Try a new game. Issues still there?-> Check your Modlist. Issues Gone?-> Clean out old savegame, start over with step 1. Trying to clean your savegame when having issues after changing something-anything in your Modlist? Absolutely! Always worth a try before trashing your progress and starting over from 0.

khumak Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 There should be no problem with having more than 255 mods installed but you can't have more than 255 plugins. I have 287 "mods" installed after merging dozens of them together. My plugin count is 201 but would be over 255 if I had not merged a bunch of things. I had never considered trying to load a game with less than 255 active plugins but with inactive plugins still present in the data directory that would bring the total over 255. I always remove plugins I'm not using. One issue similar to this that I have run into in the past was probably a bug in MO2. I had issues where if I had too many DLL plugins installed, MO2 would simply ignore my mods and try to load the vanilla game without any mods. If I disabled some of the DLLs then it worked fine with all of those same mods. If I run exactly the same mods in Vortex it works fine with all of those mods and all of the DLLs that I had to disable in MO2. I believe MO2 has been updated since then so I have no idea if that issue has been fixed. I also used to see warnings about having too many mods installed on older versions of Wrye Bash, but the current one is fine with over 300 mods installed.
