hexenhaus Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I even finished a modification of Alans´s BBP Armorpack 2.2 I edited the shipped .esp´s in order to balance the stats or better balance the items/armors/cloth at all. All stats are balanced by hand, so leather-style armors have vanilla leather armor stats and values. If there are any ornaments, jewels or noble metals, the value is higher then the vanilla ones. Also the armor stats are depending on the materials and the amount of coverage ; the less a armor weights, so the armor rating is decreased, but the weight/armor ratio is the same. There are clothing now! All clothlike looking armors or armors with bring you obviously no armor are cloth now, with prices adapted to vanilla cloth, like noble/fine/wedding... Some "cloth" consist only of jewels or noble metals so they are priced like jewelry. For the future i think about adding Lorecraft support and/or placing the armors in loot- and leveledlists, as well as making "real" recipes, with perk requirements and fitting metals etc. (no more 1 Iron for clothing ). If you are interested in my modded .ESP´s, tell my and i will publish these on loverslab.com v1 is attached now and ready for Nexusmodmanager =) Attention!! You need to unpack the 2 .BSA´s to get my .esp´s to work! =================== I did not touch any of the armor meshes and textures - me only edited the two shipped esp´s. So all credits for translating goes to Alan & pichuchiu, and Alan of ARROW&KNEE MOD TEAM for the BBP Armor Pack 1 & 2. Modded esp´s for Alan`s BBP Armorpack 2.2 (hexenhausv1).7z
ToJKa Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Nice. Did you also sperate them to heavy and light armor? That always bothered me a bit that they are all heavy or light and each part having the same armor rating. I thought about doing this myself, but i'm lazy
somelikeitruff Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Yes I like the idea very much, some nice outfits there but I greatly disapproved of the same thing for every set. the breaking up of heavy and light also would be a big help for not all in my groups of companions wear either all one type or the other. but what your suggesting is great in itself. So..please! Ruff!
hexenhaus Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Nice. Did you also sperate them to heavy and light armor? That always bothered me a bit that they are all heavy or light and each part having the same armor rating. I thought about doing this myself' date=' but i'm lazy [/quote'] For sure All items are seperated into clothing, heavy armor & light armor (all are "balanced" by hand in 7h of work )
Riceball Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 You should post a link in the BBP pack thread too, this is definitely a must have! EDIT: this does not work anymore with the current BBP pack as the destination for meshes and texture have changed. tested it for many hours of trial and error.
aEuonym Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 This does work with the current BBP Pack, but you have to unpack the BSAs.
juliusdj Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 aEuonym, thanks for the solution, it works now.
LaEspada Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Thanks for work! I'd be nice if they were spread out through the different types of armors though instead of clumped all into glass and ebony Really long lists.
ie152 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 When crafting, is it normal that the preview doesn't show up? or is it just me..
hexenhaus Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 As i mentioned, i have plans to distribute the armor types to their corrosponding categories. But at the moment studying keeps me very busy. Feel free, to edit "my" .esp or you have to wait, maybe 1-2 weeks But almost 500 items/recipes require some time to edit and if i mod the recipes i want to edit the required materials (no more 1 iron) & and maybe perk requirements too. So there will be easy 2000-3000 changes... By the way, should i add the "clothing" to the tanning rack?
hexenhaus Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 When crafting' date=' is it normal that the preview doesn't show up? or is it just me.. [/quote'] Preview should work for almost all armors and items. Sometimes it takes a moment, as some armors have a really really high poly-count... But over 90% should have a preview and if there isn´t one, it isn´t my construction site, as i didn´t edit or have plans, to edit or add meshes
hexenhaus Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 I would like to add the great armors to the game(lvledlists etc.), so you will encounter npc´s wearing it. For compatibility i think about adding a new faction with their own gear(means AlansBBPArmorpack ). I don´t want to overwrite existing factions or their lootlists, as i have done some similar work for MAK´s Remodeled Armors and i dont want them to be dependent on the other one(as my other mod is dependent on remodeled armors and lorecraft). So i could create totally new lootlists for my remodeled armors and Alan´s armorpack, place them in the corresponding lootlists and create a dependent .esp or create something totally new. I do want this to be as much compatible as i can achieve, as i really "dont like" mods that are dependent on other mods that are dependent on other mods that are dependent on.................... So, do you have any suggestions how to solve this, or any ideas about a new faction and how to integrate it into skyrim. I think it would be nice if you could encounter factionmembers in more then one dungeon or cell. Maybe like the Vigilants of Stendarr or Vampire Hunter´s, as they wander around and have headquarters. Or a kind of subfaction to a existing one, like Elite-Imperials or whatever. In the future quests and companions could be thinkable But 1st i need some ideas to start with! P.S: I will categorize and remake the recipes and materials later, as it is really annoying (600+Items). Furthermore it is atm more important to me to bring more diversity in terms of random (rare) encounters of ArmorPack-wearing-npc´s, instead of crafting the armors urself . I like it to ramdomly see a nice armor and have the possibility to "get" and wear it
mijhou Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 going to try it grats xD btw for those who want to unpack bsa files use FOMM (FO3 options) or BSA unpacker from nexus both works ty for the esp
Guest Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Excellent, unpacking now. Just incase I majorly screw this up, I unpack them into the regular Data > Meshes/Textures folders, right?
Guest Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Strange issue - after unpacking the BSA's and putting the files into Data>Meshes/Textures, some armor doesn't show at all, appears as invisible, and the stuff that does show has no colour, as if the textures are missing. However, if I install the original BSAs and .esps, everything works, but there's 2 of each item in the list; one at light armor rating 30 and the other a balanced version. I can't come up with any reason this should be the case. Any ideas?
