Romance-related outcomes, workplace affairs, and related systems should now respond more consistently when Sims use Woohoo interactions as part of the workplace dynamic. Major Internal Refactoring This update includes a serious internal refactor of the OfficeAffairs system. A large part of the code structure was cleaned up and reorganized to make the mod more stable, more readable, and easier to expand in future updates. Improved Mod Stability Several internal systems were reviewed and improved to reduce errors and make the mod behave more reliably across different gameplay situations. Fixed Fire Uncooperative Employee Translation Updates Translations were reviewed, corrected, and updated to better match the current OfficeAffairs systems, dialogs, notifications, gender preference support, career titles, bonuses, PTO, and workplace outcomes.. It introduces new targeted social mixers, custom buffs, hidden traits, relationship bits, career related systems, and reactive outcomes that integrate directly into live gameplay. I have been playing The Sims for many years, and this is a mod I personally always wanted to exist in my own gameplay - something that adds the kind of narrative depth and dynamics I felt were missing. For now, events may happen quite frequently. This is intentional for the first release and testing phase. In future versions, pacing and behavior will become configurable. You can play both sides of the story: Play as a Boss or play as an Employee. Each role has its own interactions and progression paths. You can now experience a full career narrative: Start as an employee Build relationships and make choices Progress through your career Complete the required advanced career program Become a Boss Gameplay Overview: The boss system is dynamic and flexible: A Boss can be generated automatically when an employee joins a career Or created manually by the player using cheats or naturally To become a Boss: Reach the top level of a full-time career Complete the required advanced career program via the computer or phone Apply for a Boss position via PC or phone This creates a natural progression path instead of relying only on generated bosses. The Boss is a fully playable Sim with their own traits, career, and role in the story. You can play both sides of the story. As an employee: Build a relationship with your boss Attempt to seduce the Boss Ask for a promotion Ask for a PTO Ask to be hired As a Boss: Offer jobs to Sims Fire employees React to relationship dynamics Give bonuses Give PTO Influence story progression Cheats: The following commands are available: oa.init_boss Promotes the active Sim to CEO Requires: Sim with a full-time career oa.init_employee Initializes the active Sim as an Employee Requires: Sim with a full-time career oa.help Displays available OfficeAffairs commands Current features: Play as a Boss with unique social power interactions Play as an employee and build a risky office relationship Ask for promotion through special interactions Attempt to seduce your boss Boss can fire an uncooperative employee Boss can offer a job Boss can give bonuses Boss can give a PTO Boss can promote employee Sims can ask to be hired Custom buffs, relationship bits, and hidden traits drive outcomes and long term consequences This is only the foundation. FIXED 06/20/2026, re-download please I've fixed the loading issue caused by an accidental unused import ❤️❤️❤️ UPDATED 06/14/2026 ❤️❤️❤️ Due to the significant internal changes in this update, I recommend clearing your game cache before launching the game with the new version What's New: 2.0.3 (06/14/2026) Gender Preference Support The Boss and the Employee roles are no longer limited to one specific gender OfficeAffairs now supports different gender preferences and no longer limits the Boss and the Employee roles to one specific gender. Bosses and Employees can now be male or female, and romance-related gameplay is based on Sim gender preferences More Flexible Boss Generation A Boss is still generated automatically when needed, but the system now takes the active Sim's preferences into account when creating one. You can also create your own office environment manually, adjust Sim preferences, and shape the workplace dynamic yourself. Small Business Support OfficeAffairs now includes early support for Small Business gameplay. This system is more limited than regular career support for now, and it is still in development. The owner automatically becomes the boss when opening a new business. No MBA or CEO application needed. Employees are also initialized when hired. Bonuses and PTO OfficeAffairs now supports more workplace rewards. In addition to promotions, Sims may now receive bonuses or PTO depending on the situation, outcome, and workplace dynamic. More Balanced Career Progression Promotions are now less frequent and more balanced. Instead of every successful situation leading directly to a promotion, Sims may receive a bonus, PTO, or other career-related outcomes. This should make progression feel more natural and less predictable. Updated Dialogs, Buffs, and Notifications Dialogs, buff names, descriptions, reasons, and notifications were updated to match the new gender preference support, expanded career logic, bonuses, PTO, and workplace outcomes. Expanded Secret System The secret system has been expanded. If someone knows too much about an Office Affair, invite the secret holder over and see what happens next. Some secrets are not meant to stay quiet forever. Stability and System Improvements This update includes major internal system changes, fixes, and cleanup work designed to make OfficeAffairs more stable, flexible, and easier to expand in future updates.
