Shea is one of the few Daughters of Coldharbour left alive. She has only just been awakened by a lesser vampire, who clearly had no idea what she was doing. Shea was born hundreds of years ago and belongs to the vampire clan Lannisdayne. She was the youngest daughter being born only a few minutes after her twin sister. She was relatively tame compared to her family, despite being hot tempered and quick to anger. Most of her family were half mad or insane, because of this she was subjected to constant torment. Not even the rulers of the other clans thought she was the actual daughter of her father.

When she grew older she took a liking to fighting and became a very talented fighter. She eventually was taught to ride on horseback and joust, because according to her father, that's all she was good for. Shea never wanted to marry another lord of a vampire clan, she preferred her freedom over anything. Her sister was a different in the way she was more submissive, which ultimately led to her death. But before the attack, Shea and her sister were in an incestuous relationship. Shea always treated her sister right, but her sister was beginning to do things she didn't want to do. Then her mother, her sister and herself were offered to Molag Bal in return for vampirism. She was sixteen at the time and was left deeply traumatised by the ritual. According to her journal she still has nightmares about it almost every other night. Her father didn't care, neither did her mother really. Shea and her sister were just expected to carry on. Her sister did, still being the same submissive girl, but her requests became more difficult to fulfil. Shea and her sister began to separate gradually becoming less involved every day. Then in her city was a knightly tournament. Naturally, Shea got involved straight away. She borrowed some armour and a horse and rode for the enlistment tent. Believe it or not she got all the way to the final joust, where she fell to one of the king's own guard. She was unmasked and revealed. That day she earned the name Shae the Shocker. When she got home that day her father beat her, hard until she couldn't take it any longer. 

She tore her fathers throat out and ran to her room. Then the Dawnguard attacked. Her mother forced her into a tomb, where she would stay until it was opened. It never did for three hundred years. Until now, until the lesser vampire opened it. Shae's clothes had rotted away and she was left naked and confused. The lesser vampire was foolish and expected a bowing vampire. But she slaughtered everything in that cave. Now it's said she is prowling the wild's of Skyrim for vengeance against the Dawnguard. Whether or not that is true, is yet to be seen.
