So as It's a world cup year I was thinking of who should go for the French team and on reddit I may have said that Deschamps should be sacked if he doesn't call up Fekir who has been doing amazingly for Lyon this season and it got me thinking of what formation he should use if he does call up Fekir. So here's my idea for what to do:

GK: Lloris (obviously)

RB: Djibril Sidibé

RCB: Raphael Varane (or Aymeric Laporte)

LCB: Samuel Umtiti (or aymeric Laporte)

LB: Benjamin Mendy (if he's fit, otherwise Layvin Kurzawa)

CDM: N'Golo Kante

RCM: Paul Pogba

LCM: Corentin Tolisso

CAM: Nabil Fekir

RCF: Alexandre Lacazette

LCF: Antoine Griezmann

So what you've got here is a 4-1-2-1-2 formation that sticks Fekir in behind Lacazette and Griezmann (who are mates) and tries to exploit the middle of the pitch rather than the wings. It's also a team with a good deal of pace and creativity. As for the defence, it really depends on who's fit (I know Varane has had injury problems in the past that prevented him from being called up to the Euros) but Laporte is definitely getting called up since he signed for Man City but all 3 of them are brilliant defenders and you could play them all interchangeably to keep them all fit (especially if you throw Koscielny in there as well.) I honestly think that France have one of the best shots at winning the world cup this year thanks to their current team especially if Deschamps DOESN'T ignore Fekir (just because he plays for Lyon.)
