Introduction to the Characters and a warm Welcome

Collygon

Hey guys! Welcome to my story. This first installment is more of a preview than anything else, introducing many of the key characters in the story and providing a synopsis on what to expect. The story is already in the works, and many chapters have already been completed! So, without further ado, I present the characters of my Skyrim story: The Frost of Ages.

A sudden frost has consumed Nirn like a blight. To some, it is unoticable. Skyrim looks largely unchanged. The northern holds hardely even bat an eye. However the further one goes South, the colder it seems. In the Rift, Lake Honrich freezes over. The spectrum of color in Cyrodil is left awash in a sea of bitter, stark snow. Even the deserts of Elsweyr are encased in an unpigmented blanket of ice. This happened over night, with no natural cause or explanation, but bearing a great omen. A battle between the realms is about to occur on Nirn, and when it causes even a Skyrim born Nord to feel the chill, it can be sure to change history forever.

Taeyva

Taeyva's childhood would be described by her as unimportant. She grew up in a lackluster house, that sat in a lackluster village, with an even more lackluster family. If asked to reflect, Taeyva would politely decline, pretending to save the listener of boredom; however it would really be to stave it from herself. She couldn't tell you if her family is dead, in fact, she probably could not even state the name of her siblings, or how many she even had. If Taeyva grew up with friends, she has already forgotten them. The one thing she does remember though, is the time she spent outdoors. Whether it was collecting herbs for her makeshift potions, sneaking up on bunnies, or just relishing the cold Skyrim air, Taeyva was there; outdoors. As a result of spending most of her life as a child to a young adult as a part of Nature, Taeyva attracted the attention of a certain Daedric Lord. By no coincidence, Hircine appeared before her and proposed a deal that any other Daedra would have forced her to accept. Pledge her life to him and maintain the balance of nature as a witch of the wilds, and the forces of nature itself will bend to her will. To anyone else, the decision may have been difficult. To Taeyva, it was a dream come true. That day she left her home without a goodbye, and never looked back; eager to begin her life in service to Hircine. However nothing comes so simply. Taeyva failed to understand just how deadly the consequences of serving a Daedra could be, and was caught by the Vigil of Stendarr. She was imprisoned for months, bound by chains and manacles; forced to undergo torture and humiliation by their hands. She was eventually rescued by a mysterious werewolf, claiming to be a servant of their Lord and to her. She has yet to see her rescuer again nor rid herself from the remaining chains, enchanted to never be removed except by a Vigilant them self. After the rescue, Hircine came to issue her a final warning. "A War between Aetherius and Oblivion will soon begin. When the sudden frost consumes Nirn, seek me out and your role will come to play."

Talen

With a soft heart, and an even softer arm, it is easy to wonder just how he managed to capture a daedra. Yes, a daedra. In fact, a even more likely question to ask is why he even bothered to try. Fortunately, that is one which can be answered. Talen was in love. It can be argued that he still is, however it has been years since he has last seen his wife. The two of them used to live a comfortable, untroubled life, in a high rock village. It was nothing special, no lordship nor land, or tales of adventure and glory, it was perfect. Of course, as all happy stories go, it did not last forever. This dream was torn away from them when a vampire clan raided the village. Children were butchered, the men enthralled, and the strongest were turned. All save one: Talen. He survived by no luck, skill, or fear, but mercy; if it could be called that. He was spared for the sole purpose of spreading the name of a vampire clan he could never remember. His only recollection of that day, was the image of his wife, her eyes fading from the beautiful fields of green to a starved and bloody red as her neck was pierced by the fangs of their captors. He fled from the village that day vowing to gain the power he needs to find and save his wife. It is on this quest that he encountered the daedra. Recognizing her by her strange skin, Talen was sure he could use her to find the power he needed. He is still stunned he managed to subdue and bind her; even after all this time of her as his prisoner. It was almost like she did not resist...

Gerruk and Elyvaea

At this time in Skyrim, one could not find a more unorthodox couple, nor a more perfect one. It isn't likely that the average nord could walk by a Thalmor without gritting their teeth, nor is it likely that the Thalmor wouldn't scoff in response. These two, however, put social norms to shame. As an adventurous duo of mercenaries, Gerruck a wild and powerful Nord and Elyvaea, a witty and cunning High Elf, spend their days questing all over Skyrim and their nights fucking one another until falling asleep in each other's arms. Besides that, there really is not much else more to say. Their beginnings were humble, as well as their growth. As far as the two of them are concerned, nothing up until the time they met really matters. Their bond is strong, but anything can be broken, and this journey will put their relationship to the test.

Malkor

Though the final character being introduced in this preview, Malkor is by no means unimportant; as only he and Taeyva understand what the sudden frost truly means. Instead of trying to put a stop to it, however, he plans on using it to his advantage. A servant to Boethiah, Malkor was informed of the coming blight by none other than the Daedric Lord herself. In order to ensure he survived up until this point, he has holed himself away in Black Reach the past five years. While there, he researched the dwemer, learning more about their technology and machinery than history. In addition, he somehow has managed to rally the Falmer behind him. It is unclear how he plans to use the army of snow elves and automatons he now controls, but one thing is for certain; he will serve his Mistress Boethiah until the day he dies. What does that mean for Skyrim? That the frost and whatever comes with it is only a part of the battles to come.

And there you have it. There is not only four characters, but like I said, this is only a preview of what is to come so I won't reveal everyone. I hope you enjoyed this prologue of sorts. Chapter 1: Act 1 is on the way! (I have it already done, I just need to write it all down on this blog). I would love any and all feedback, especially if you want to read more! Thanks!

Thanks a lot! :) All except Malkor are previous playthroughs, so I can't even begin to imagine the time I spent in racemenu on them haha

They all look very nice.

Noted. I'll be sure to fix it when I post Chapter One. Thanks for the feedback!

Dark text on darker background... hard to read.

Thanks so much! I plan to post a new segment once a week at the minimum, but definitely more often if possible.

This sounds intriguing, and your characters are awesome looking, I look forward to reading your tale.

I just found your blog and intend on reading it, but I have a question for you.  Is Taevya a nudist then, or is she just naked because of being in captivity?
