Godis 02 - Godis Against the Undead

Honey shades of light bathe the Haafingar countryside as the three set off. Godis volunteers to take point and scout ahead. Lady Katheryn and Maya are concerned - what if she is hurt - but Godis promises them she'll run back and hide behind them at the first sign of trouble.

The reports of necromantic activity seem to be accurate, as the cave is guarded by several animated skeletons! Maya and Lady Katheryn dispose of them without breaking a sweat.

One of the skeletons carried a massive axe (beofre they obliterated it) which Godis picks up. "It can't be that different from chopping wood back at the farm" she says cheerfully. The others laugh.

 

... and it really isn't. Godis gets some good solid hits in in the next fights. The axe is massively powerful when she connects, scattering bone (and necromancer gut) all over.

The three of them quickly find a rhythm and carve through the opposition with little difficulty.

 

"Well done Godis" says Lady Katheryn. "Maya, I think you should take young Godis as an apprentice." May smiles, but doesn't say anything.

 

Maybe being an adventurer beats making a living on your back?

"Whoa! Look at that!" Godis is a little worried by the cascades of magical energy washing over the site.

 

"They'll be too preoccupied with their foul ritual... right?" Maya nods at Lady Katheryn's question "I hope so..." then she grows stern. "Never fear, truth and justice is on our side! Jarl Elisif depends on us! Forward!" She's a real leader, afraid of nothing.

The fighting soon gets heavy. Godis does her best, screaming like a fury as she charges into battle with her massive axe.

The enemy is more terrible than Godis ever imagined...

... but she does her best.

Maya is brave and relentless...

Alas, it is not enough.

They are defeated. As Godis lies tied on the cavern floor  - sore and frightened - she wonders what the necromancers will do to her. Will she be able to talk her way out of this? And what happened to Maya and Lady Katheryn?

After a brief hiatus I'm back to updating this blog :) 

 

Godis, of course, is a permanent Level 1 character in a delevelled world. Let's see how it goes.

Thank you! Great to be welcomed back too :) 

 

I think I'll be able to wrap up Godis this run, but while I haven't been writing in the last 13 months I've been playing at least some of the time, so I have I don't know how many GB of images from that.

Welcome back.  As a new reader who only recently discovered your stuff (still working my way through Maer's story, in fact), it's good to see that more Skyrim misadventures may occur!

 

Reading your stuff has prompted me to start up a new game with a Breton named Nyxi; she's already earned her first coins via the oldest profession :)

Just radiant prostitution at the moment.  I have Lola's installed and the two link up, so it seemed a sensible choice.

 

I may add public whore when I get to Whiterun.  I've not looked into the mod requirements for that yet, though.

The Ancient Profession is a really nice prostitution mod and is the trigger for the "I need a license to be a prostitute" part at the beginning of Godis' story. I don't always have it in my load order, but it works fine with Radiant Prostitution and Public Whore. Mainly you have to roleplay the gaps between the different licensing requirements. Basically, I use AP for voluntary whoring (so there's a bit of work before you can just get busy), RP for SubLola whoring (and theoretically as additional voluntary whoring once my character has the local AP license), and PW as a punishing whoring via SS++. The roleplaying part is that Lola's master probably organizes the AP license when they pimp out Lola, and that PW whoring has some sort of licensing exemption since the city is enforcing it.

 

... of course, all that and then Godis goes and gets sidetracked from the Ancient Profession questline almost immediately :D
