Back In The SAddle

Been a while huh? Depending on how thoroughly you track me you may have noticed a sudden upswing in my activity here (from the nothing it's been for a while) and depending on your general attitude this may have made you cautiously optimistic that [Insert whatever project of mine you're excited about here] may finally get released. And my hope is that you're right to be excited for that. I do enjoy modding and have wanted to get back to it but life has been weird for a while. I don't really care

Progress of Sorts

Howdy folks,   So this is kind of a public apology (but not really) to the people expecting things from me (especially those in PM's with partially finished mods) but also just kind of a quick update on where I am as far as working on things and time to mod and all that.   Good news first: As of today I have much more free time to mod, well, for the next 3 weeks or so (probably; that's a whole can of worms I'm just ignoring until it becomes important), it might be a day or two less and it mi

Skyrim Modeling Projects: Ideas

Hello ladies and gents, so here I am again, having gotten back into (or in the process of getting back into) 3d modeling, specifically for Skyrim. And more specifically for devious devices. If you're here though there's a good chance you already knew that though.   So here what I'm doing is gathering pictures of what I intend to make   The actual first thing I intend to do is add beast race support to existing DD gags and blindfolds, which should be a pretty good jumping off point for DD mod

C.A.N.S. API and How to Use It in Patches or Mods

Welcome ladies and gentleman once again to the CANS API blog post. With the latest build (0.18) there are some massive changes. In general implementation from the old post will still work but quite a bit of it is irrelevant and no longer necessary. So to save you some time, the game some memory, and better explain things from the last one, this has been rewritten. I'm going to break this up into sections for everyone's convenience. 1. How Does the C.A.N.S. Framework Actually Work? Now you see

Reinstalling everything.

So, a new school year is almost upon us and as per tradition I've grown bored with my main Skyrim file (little to no adult content, hard core RP, lots of fun) and decided to start a new one for the new year.   While I'm toying with names (This one's gonna be a khajiit. Might use an imperials name for backstory though) I was looking at all my mods and realized something. I'm awfully disorganized. I've got all kinds of downloads in MO, multiples, out of date, mods i dont use any more, mods I nev

How to Make a C.A.N.S. Patch or Mod

So, and bear with me here, I'm assuming you've already heard of C.A.N.S. and what it does if you're here. Additionally, I'm going to assume you're here to figure out how to make a mod or patch reliant on it because the implementation on the OP is pretty half-assed.   Luckily I've slapped this together to (hopefully) contain anything you would want to know about implementing C.A.N.S. in a papyrus script.   Prologue: How C.A.N.S. works C.A.N.S. is effectively two parts, with a few minor additi

Quick Status Update

Alright so here's the deal, I'm still working, and still modding. I didn't make that thread and then back out because I was in over my head.   I'm still working on the C.A.N.S. framework and mostly know what I need to do to get to an alpha release. BUT, I've also just started a full-time job and an online summer course that kicked up with a surprising intensity. Both of these things will always take preference to modding because this is just a hobby, and thanks to the failure of steam paid mod
