Alright so here's the deal, I'm still working, and still modding. I didn't make that thread and then back out because I was in over my head.

I'm still working on the C.A.N.S. framework and mostly know what I need to do to get to an alpha release. BUT, I've also just started a full-time job and an online summer course that kicked up with a surprising intensity. Both of these things will always take preference to modding because this is just a hobby, and thanks to the failure of steam paid mods (that happened, whether you liked them or not) will always be just a hobby. So work pays, mods don't, and school costs money, so I'd better get my fair share out of it which I can only do if I participate.

Additionally, I was pulled into the "Skyrim Corruption Project" which you might have seen a bit about. No idea if that's actually going to be a dream they realize or not, but expect a Dragon Cult module from me sometime in the near future. Hopefully the scripts will be in slightly better condition than the previous modules (no offense to the SkyCorr team).
