PROJECT HELIX
Originally operated within, and funded by the European Commonwealth, Helix has been transferred stateside to continue the project. The Selachii division has been relocated by ship to Boston, Mass. , and in a facility designated [REDACTED], will further the aims of the project - which was, and is, to create animal based humanoids. The Project's division leads have been given a requirement - the use of the Forced Evolutionary Virus, or FEV, to include in their work. It was in 2072 that General Marius Jaeger took control of the project, intending in seeing it through to the end, even if it would be a decade before it saw results. His comments on the project were not public, but still controversial among those who heard or learned of his comments.
"The suggestion you make is that you would be the cats asking for others to 'meow' in agreement - when it is only you, the one making the choice that can - and those affected by the decision are mice who cannot agree as a matter of biological impossibility, alongside an ideological disagreement. I would rather toss out the aforementioned analogy entirely, and believe myself among those of intelligence, and easily show a degree of respect until such time as they prove themselves bereft of the former, and unworthy of the latter."
