* * *

Eolri bound my arms and beckoned me to follow. Disarmed and out matched, I could only comply. She kept to herself and didn’t prod into my backstory as we headed back to her camp.

“Karthspire,” Eolri said as we came upon it. “This is where you will be getting trained.”

Lucari: I head from mother, that Karthspire is the biggest Forsworn camp.

Niyleen: I haven’t seen them all, but it sure seemed like it.

Although her voice was monotone, it didn’t stop me from getting anxious from her words. She noticed me tensing up, but simple commanded me to follow, and so reluctantly I did.

Lucari: You seem to be real… subservient to Eolri. I really can’t imagine it.

Niyleen: (Can’t you? I’m basically doing the same thing towards you.) Uh, yeah. It happens.Posted Image

Entering a camp, we slowed at the first Forsworn we came about.

“Oho! Nice catch,” the male said. “She looks like she’ll definitely give everyone a good workout.”

“You touch a hair on my pet’s head and you’ll be missing more than your hair when I’m done with you,” Eolri said coolly.

(She kinda rocks) I thought. (Well… aside from taking me captive and all.)

Lucari: Ooooo! Is there going to be any, you know, Half-breed on Forsworn action?

Niyleen: (Gives Lucari a fierce glare.) ANYWAY-

“Where is the Briarheart?”

“He’s up the steps as per usual,” the male said. “He seemed more out of it than usual ya know. Maybe he missed you?”

“Hmmm…” Eolri thought about his words so a moment before ushering me forward.
Posted Image
We climbed the aforementioned steps, and as soon as we came upon another man, this one with a hole in his chest, Eolri immediately knelt down and said, “I have returned Achinis, and with another captive.”

“…”

Lucari: You met a Brairheart? And lived!?

Niyleen: Wait, there’s more.
Posted Image
The man looked down at her with a faraway look in his eyes and from where I was standing, I couldn’t tell whether or not he even understood the words coming out of her mouth. I stood there for a moment staring agape at him until a felt a hard hit to my shin.
Posted Image
“Owwie, what was that for,” I cried rubbing my shin. Before I got an answer I felt a presence before me that froze me in place, and it was coming for the Briarheart.

Lucari: Owwie? Niyleen dear… you don’t ‘owwie’.

Niyleen: As I said before, it happens.
Posted Image
Suddenly, the stoic faraway look was gone, and now it was replaced with a menacing man looking like he would rip my head off if I did one thing incorrectly. This fear I felt was more base than the fear I felt from Eolri. I knew Eolri was far my better due to our duel, but I knew that this man was Eolri better just from the look he was giving me. The malice behind his eyes sent goose bumps down my spine.
Posted Image
“Kneel before Karthspire’s Brairheart you miserable dog,” Eolri hissed and I immediately dropped to a knee as if force to by some binding spell. “I-I-I’m sorry Achinis, but she hasn’t been broken in yet. Please do forgive her.” She gave me a sharp look and then bowed her head again.
Posted Image
Eolri got to her feet, and after a few seconds I did as well. “You see what I see in her don’t you Achinis?”

“…”

“Indeed, I think she could be an asset to us, especially when you begin to try to unite the Reach once more. Her latent potential is phenomenal.”

“…”

Their conversation was beyond me. How they were communicating, IF they were communicating, blew my mind to the point that I toned them out until the unthinkable happened. Eolri hugged the Brairheart, AND HE HUGGED HER BACK!

Lucari: No…

Niyleen: I know right!

Lucari: They’re basically undead! How could he—

Niyleen: Shush, it gets better.

“I won’t have to leave you for long anymore Achinis, so please rest up. I’ll make you whol—no, better than whole again.”

“Eol… ri…”

Lucari: You’re lying.

Niyleen: Nope.

I saw a momentary tear in Eolri’s eyes before she burrowed her face into his chest and they continued to hug for what seemed like an eternity.
Posted Image
I must have drifted off, because suddenly the Brairheart was nowhere to be found and Eolri was yelling “Come on now you stupid girl.” I sighed and followed, but when I did she looked back at me and said, “Today might just be a good day.”
Posted Image
I looked at her and the impossible, her smiling. For her, it definitely rivaled one of yours Lucari.

Lucari: I’m still sensing some Half-breed on Forsworn action about to happen. And there’s no way her smile was as bright as mine.
Posted Image
She took me to a workstation area and we encountered a female Forsworn this time, and a familiar on at that. Almost like déjà vu the Forsworn knelt and said, “Welcome back Master Ravager, I see that you’ve gotten a new captive?”

“Please don’t address me so formally Nanae. I’ve known you since we were small.”

Lucari: So she’s the one I killed…

Niyleen: Don’t worry, she deserved it.
Posted Image
“But Master Ravager, it is an honor to be in your presence. Please just allow me this,” Nanae begged.

“For the love of Julianos… alright fine,” Eolri conceded. “Milkdrinkers everywhere,” she mumbled probably thinking I wouldn’t hear it. Facepalming she continued, “Anyway, Nanae this is Niyle, she’s OFF-LIMITS. If I hear that anyone touches her then I’ll cut their cocks off, or shove my sword so far up their ass that they literally cough it up, or—”

Lucari: Eolri believed in the Nine?

Niyleen: Maybe the Eight, but either way, I don’t know for sure.

“I got it I got it,” Nanae said rising to her feet.

(Yep, Eolri definitely rocks.)

Lucari: This seems to be developing into more than a Master-Slave relationship.
Posted Image
Nanae eyed me intently as did I and I feel that we both at the same moment had the same feeling, I could take her. I think she noticed that same look in my eyes and immediately gave me a fierce glare. “What do you think you’re doing slave; eyeing me like we’re on the same level. Get on your knees you weak Redguard.”
Posted Image
“Half-breed actually,” I said instinctively forgetting myself.

Eolri laughed and said, “Ha, so I’ve got two feisty bitches to deal with. Let’s not delay this. Nanae, you want to see why she’s off limits… well, a bit of why?”

Nanae smirked. “Of course Master Ravager.”

Lucari: Oddly, Eolri reminds me of the you now.
Posted Image
Eolri unbound my wrists, but left the cuffs on. Apparently they were magically bound and she just dispelled the spell. Sitting near the workbench Eolri said, “Fine. Nanae, Niyle, I command you two to do battle.”

“With pleasure,” Nanae said falling into an offensive stance.

Lucari: Not the kind of Half-breed on Forsworn action I was thinking of, but that’s fine.
Posted Image
Rubbing my wrists, I said, “Are you sure about this Eolri?”
Posted Image
“Insolate little bitch!” Nanae’s glare was piercing. “You will show the Master Ravager the respect she deserves as your better, and your Master.”

Lucari: Nanae has a point. Calling your Master out of name like that… not too smart Niyle.
Posted Image
Mistress, but I’ve yet to train her as I’d like so, calm yourself Nanae,” Eolri said waving off Nanae’s hostility. “And yes I am. Go all out, as you did with me.”
Posted Image
I didn’t need another word. Before Nanae could react I was in the air and delivered a crushing kick to her throat, hurling her into nearby crates.
Posted Image
“Are you sure you want to continue,” I mocked as Nanae struggled to breathe. Nanae’s answer was a fierce glare. I then realized this wasn’t a fair contest. Nanae had to be a magic user I guessed seeing her use a Restoration spell to heal the damage to her throat.
Posted Image
When Nanae came to her feet, she rushed at me wildly with a barrage of punches. But they were slow and sloppy. When I was through dodging them, I countered with a swift roundhouse kick to the side of her head.
Posted Image
It was super effective.
Posted Image
I finished her off by putting her on my shoulders and slamming her to the ground.Posted Image

Posted Image
Lucari: That seemed a bit unnecessary.

Proud of myself, I began to do a pit of boasting. “Who’s the little bitch now, you weak piece of skeever bait.”
Posted Image
“It’s still you, now cut it out,” Eolri said. She sounded unimpressed, but the look on her face said otherwise.
Posted Image
(Dammit.) I relaxed and sighed. “She started it though.”

“And you finished it. Learn some restraint as well. I said go all out, but if you don’t gauge your opponent’s strength, you may end up killing them instead of just weakening them… unless of course you’re just a mindless murderer.”

“Tsk.”
Posted Image
“Come Niyle.” Like a little puppy, I did as instructed and kneeled before her. “Anyway, you’ve yet to disappoint me. That’s a first.”

I couldn’t help but smile at those words. “Thank you, Eolri.”
Posted Image
“Mistress.”

I nodded. “Thanks Mistress.”
Posted Image
The cool Forsworn smiled again. “A quick learner too. I may get to treat you like the Half-breed you are instead of the swine your station demands. Now turn so I can put the enchantment back on these cuffs.”

I did as told, but as so as she was finished my mind clouded and I felt a great deal of pleasure. I don’t know why but, at that moment when my arms were bound behind my back, I knew that I was hers and she was my true Mistress.

Lucari: By Talos, you liked her. Like REALLY liked her.

Niyleen: Anyway, can we break, I’m getting kinda hungry.

Lucari: Sure.Posted Image

It felt like a great chapter overall, but with some drawbacks. First, as far as I know, the Forsworn specifically do not worship the nine, their wild religion being mutually exclusive with the empire's and nord's one. That's almost why they became Forsworn in the first place. Second the typo "brairheart" instead of Briarheart kinda lessens the ambiance.  :classic_angel:

Now, the tribal+dominant ambience felt great, the characters' presence (specially Eolri and Achinis) and development was good, and the duel impressive. Combined with the Forsworn world novelty,  those largely made up for it. Great read. !?
