Guest Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 First of all this mod is not my doing. I just found about it and started fixing CDTs and wrong textures. This mod is the conversion of COS to HDT-PE framework. Some of the cloaks were causing several CTDs. So I expend this Saturday fixing it. Beside the CTDs some of them had the wrong textures. I'm 99% sure the mod is now CTD free. Some issue might still happen so if you find anything just let me know. The XML HDT needs some work but so far I'm a bit clueless on it. The lower parts of the cloak jumps a bit Still IHMO this is the best HDT cloaks available. Lastly I can't find the original author of this mod. So if you are out there you have my thanks and all the credit. Also let me know of any permission rules you might have. REQUIREMENT Cloaks of Skyrim There are 2 options: COS v1.2 HDT-PE - MEGA / MEDIAFIRE - Normal version COS v1.2 HDT-PE - MEGA / MEDIAFIRE - Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade Version
2Dimm Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 i have never used cloaks of skyrim before, I will take this opportunity to start using it :^)
lambient1988 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 i have never used cloaks of skyrim before, I will take this opportunity to start using it :^) Me too. Thanks bola08.
Vykroft Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Great in the past I had to fix the clipping with custom animations, this should be an alternate way to deal with that problem. Thank for the mod

It's an Imperial cloak, General Tullius uses it.
sila Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 AAh, thanks! I have had cloaks of skyrim for a while now but I still have not found all of em, I thought that one looked familiar but couldn't place it. It would match the armor I am using now
worldcompany Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 USKP fix Or Do i Have to install the Cloak of skyrim USKP next to this one?
XanatosVonFiction Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 So first I'd like to say this is a must have mod for me!! beautiful work! that being said I'd like to tell you that the Imperial Cape (not Imperial gold or silver), Dragon Preist Cloak, Dawnstar Cape and Travel Burlap both do not have any HDT movement whatsoever, figured I'd let you know Awesome job again!!
Killing Joke Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Wow awesome, never saw this thread before, thanks for sharing!
DjaySaint Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 So I found this mod before (the original one) and used it, but I had an odd issue with it where I would equip one of the HDT cloaks, and for some reason it would equip two of the cloak models instead of the normal one. I opened up the .nifs to make sure the cloak models didn't have duplicate shapes, but they only have one trishape. I can't figure out why this happens but I stopped using the original mod because I couldn't fix it. The normal non-HDT cloak mesh works just fine, it doesn't get duplicated. When I replace the normal cloak mesh file with the HDT one, it duplicates in game and acts absolutely crazy because they both collide with each other (2 physics meshes trying to occupy the same spot). Alternatively, if I just remove the hdt .xml (but use the hdt .nif version of the cloak), the cloak doesn't duplicate (but of course no physics). It appears to be an issue with the XML some how (at least it's my guess anyway, hdt mesh functions fine until I throw in the .xml, then the cloak duplicates itself when equipped), but I'm not sure how or why. Examples (click pics for bigger version): Has anyone else ran in to this issue, or any idea why this happens and how to correct it? Thanks. I want to put HDT cloaks back in, but this issue happens 100% of the time with every cloak. With that said, thanks bola08 for going through and fixing the meshes that cause CTDs. Meshes that would CTD before no longer do, I just have this weird duplicate bug to sort out now.
DjaySaint Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 No, just replaced the mesh and added the .xml. I renamed the .xml, and updated the path of the new .xml via nifskope. Collisions work, it just duplicates the cloak for some reason which I've never encountered before.

(if you do not have campfire installed than i could be wrong but i highly doubt it)
Saeros Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 HDT cloaks of skyrim.. nice! I use them for a long time in my game and I would like to try your HDT version.. ..but a question: this HDT patch is compatible with this FIX for Unofficial Skyrim Patch http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56922/ (I think that everyone uses USKPatch in Skyrim game) thanks! bye! S.
Bazoombas Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Damn good work! Thanks so much for this! Bola08! +rep!
Guest Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Really cool. When I'm outside, though, faraway cloaks stretch across the sky in some twitching madness. It fixes itself if I get closer to the person. Has that happened to anyone else?

It fixes itself if I get closer to the person. Has that happened to anyone else? Yeah.. unfortunately that is a problem with the cloak or the HDT XML file. I'm not skilled enough to fix issues related to the HDT PE file. All I did was to fix the CTDs and the texture mistakes.

Sometimes when NPCs exit a building, you can see their butt stretching out like silly putty, as though part of it was still stuck inside. And HDT ponytails can get stretched to infinity and beyond.
DjaySaint Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Yeah.. unfortunately that is a problem with the cloak or the HDT XML file. I'm not skilled enough to fix issues related to the HDT PE file. All I did was to fix the CTDs and the texture mistakes. I don't suppose you would happen to know anything about the duplicating cloak issue I'm having where I equip any of the HDT cloaks, and for some reason it slots 2 on the back? I tried the HDT cloaks before and had this issue, and couldn't figure out why it was happening or how to fix it so I stopped using HDT cloaks... but I want to use them Still looking for suggestions on why this silly bug is happening to me. I don't have issues with any other HDT stuff at the moment. Just the cloaks.

You need to make sure the ESPs included here are not being overridden
DjaySaint Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Maybe there is another mod replacing the ESPs from this pack in your load order. You need to make sure the ESPs included here are not being overridden I found the issue and fixed it. The flags in the armor add-on were set for two slots, which was causing the mesh to equip to two slots. I forgot to disable the previous .esp I was using, which was the one that had the extra flags for armor add-ons. Yours is fine, those are all fixed. Was a simple and easy solution once I finally decided to look at the biped slots in nifskope and tes5edit to make sure they matched. Not sure why I didn't check sooner. Anyway, thanks for the reply and fixing the HDT add-on so it no longer CTDs.
CROTCHTROLL Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Will this mod coincide with Frost-fall mechanics?
