Circlets and Hoods - Bald heads

So I have been coming across this issue quite frequently as of late, and finally nailed down some consistent traits with the problem. I know there is an inherent vanilla issue regarding this, but I remember being succesful with wearing hoods and circlets for a long time until recently. So here are my findings:

  • Using TAWOBA circlets prominently and hoods in general
  • Loading in a save where I have a hood equipped but no circlet allows me to wear the circlet with the hood afterwards
  • Loading in a save with hood and circlet results in both technically wearing circlet and hood together, but visually only the circlet is equipped, the hood is not and the head is completely bald or with the square bald patch.

I used to think it was either devious device's doing or just a TAWOBA issue, I havent tested it further from what I have gathered. So is this a vanilla behaviour or do I have a foreign source of problem? I very much appreciate the time you have taken to read this, and I hope you can share anything you know about this down below.

From what I remember from similar problems it is something to do with the slot assignments for both the hood and circlets in the armour and armoraddons section, though I can not for the life in me remember how I sorted it as it was ages ago.

One of the oddities of how Bethesda set up the game, is that in vanilla, even if the meshes would have little to no visible clipping issues, you can't, for example, have Serana wear a circlet with the hood she so often dons. Why? This is because the same slot that the circlets use, is also taken up by the hood, and most helmets(though with these it makes more sense). So equipping one is going to effectively "Knock-off" the other.

The mod Clothing and Clutter Fixes, along with Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade(both by the same author), fixes this problem for vanilla hoods and circlets.

As for Nise's mod...it could just be an interaction with what is mentioned above, but I do know that some of the armor items like the "Circlets" in the Steel Bikini set do not have the Armor Addon entries listed for some races, meaning that for example, an Orc wearing the Steel mask/circlet(with the sapphire gem, and it goes around the sides of the face), will find that it is invisible, since the item does not have have the OrcRace or OrcRaceVampire listed, and thus it will appear invisible - this could mean that it still requires an Orc specific mesh, or just that the entry for the Orcs was not added, and the mesh would look fine.

Indeed, I am aware. I actually fixed an armoraddon related issue with orcs and steel circlet set not appearing by including them through CK, easy fix. My problem is entirely reliant on trying to get circlets and hoods to play nicely together without having to reload without either of them equipped. It is such a strange behaviour that I wasn't sure if its mod or vanilla related. I've thumbed through nifskope and any inconsistencies and corrected as much of them as I can for the mod, but my problem appears wider in scope than I suspected.
