I just installed "Compatability Skeleton - BnB BodyExtender FAFF NVG" to my game, and now my idle animations don't seem to work anymore. "Revert to the older skeleton files" you say.

Yes...This would be the smart thing to do, but since stupid me forgot to back up, I don't have them anymore.

 

Any other solutions, or can someone perhaps pack up the two skeleton.inf files from their mesh folders?

In order to revert back to the original skeletons from Vanilla, you just need to follow the instructions from my mod page on the Nexus for the skeleton.... i.e. just remove the two skeleton.nif files, the vanilla skeletons are in the meshes bsa file.

 

What I would rather do is find out why your idles aren't working since the skeleton works for everyone else. What I would do is make sure that you're using a body replacer that is type3 compatible if you're playing a female or breeze/robert compatible if you're playing a male (my skeleton supports both). Then make sure you are using the animations from BnB OR the vanilla animations (both are supported). You will also need to ensure that Archive Invalidation is working correctly.

 

Could you perhaps give me more information? For example, your current load order (in spoiler tags), any animation mods you might be using, any idle replacers you have installed, things like that...

I've tried following up the mod by simply removing the skeleton files. This changed nothing.

I was trying to use the "Slave In Pose NV Edition". I am not aware of any other idle replacers currently active.

Also, the issues seemed to start after the skeleton adding and "SexoutRapeGame". The latter I could turn off again, with the issue persevering. So kinda ruled out that one.

Well, slave in pose works with BnB skeleton, my skeleton AND the vanilla skeleton. How are you trying to activate the mod? I've used it successfully and I still do (as part of the Groovatron mod).

Just like I have in the past playidle t*number* and click my char before I press enter.

Hmm I'd open the console and type player.inv and see if you have some invisible tokens left over from a mod that does animating like Sexout. You may have something animating you that resets the pose before it has time to take effect. If you do see something in your inventory you think isn't right, just try player.removeitem xxxxxxxx to get rid of it using the formid instead of the x's.

well. When I try that command, the list is to long to actually show...Probably a stupid question, but anyway I can scroll up on the console?

Tried dumping all items, but still have a load of keys, and items I can't seem to drop. To much so to scroll trough all of it in console...

In Fallout.ini AND FalloutPrefs.ini look for the following:

Took a while to respond, other things going on at home...Anyway...Made a new char to make sure it wasn't anything I picked up (Ruling everything out) Then dropped everything in my inventory...But nothing left there I couldn't account for with other mods. Mods that change my pip boy into a handheld and remove the glove and some sexout leftover. Like medical evalutation.

Only thing I can suggest is download and re-install the BnB_Body file from BnB (just the meshes folder). Download and re-install your preferred nude body(s). Download and re-install my skeleton. Test again.

I installed the faffng mod too, and then overwrote it with the new skeleton. I had the stand still animations for sex, so I had to back out. I uninstalled faffng and reinstalled the sexoutngdata file as well as the new skeleton again, and things seem back to normal. When I decide to start a new game I'm going to reactivate all my mods though. Or, if I have any other animation issues.

 

I wish I knwe how to get it working, because I have no facial movement, or very rare in the least.

That's really bizarre... I use BOTH Slave in Pose NV and FAFF NV in my install with no issues (I have as many pose/animation mods as I can install for testing my skeleton). Could you both post your current load orders again (but first, make sure your load orders are properly sorted, I noticed the first one posted was very much out of order)? Also mention any animation related mods/replacers you may have that aren't reflected in your load orders. Also, if possible, tell me what skeletons are currently installed and what animation set (movement, locomotion,guns, melee, etc.) you're using.

Everything is working for me like this, except face movement during sex. It would be great if you could share your installation procedure for getting FAFFNV to work with your skeleton astymma. Maybe it was the load order I had for the FAFFNV, or maybe one of the files it wanted to overwrite that I denied during install (probably). It was too easy to go back to your skeleton, restore base animations and get back in the game. If I had more patience I may have eventually got it going, but when I searched on FAFFNV here I did not come up with what I needed to help me install. I did notice Donkeys post at http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=7663&highlight=faffnv

and I just thought the aggravation of getting it to work was not worth it. Basically I assumed there was little to nothing that FAFF would add to my game. Not complaining at all about your skeleton, as it works great.

I'm not using any non LL extra anims that I can think of, other than the base meshes from BNB by Revenag. I have all the Resource files from SO-NG, SCR, Pregnancy, Store and req clothing mod DL's, Zaz, SpectrumwWarrior, and oh shit I just saw something I did not include in my last fomod (GSBModdersStuff), damnit thats why some armor is missing.. oops.

 

I'm getting ready to set up a new LO, and a fresh install. If you could post your working installation sequence and LO to get FAFFNV working with your skel, that would be really cool. Then as the FAFF support grows, I'll be all set. BTW, approx how many face anims are active in SO?

 

eDIT: I was just reading a post by Kainschilde helping someone else on the subject of FAFFNV, that mentioned you don't need FAFFNV because it was rolled into Sexout. So I guess as the anims are developed, they will show up in future releases.

Posting my load order would be pretty useless for anyone to use as a guide. My load order consists of a lot of custom merged patches like merged_utilities.esp, merged_npcs.esp, merged_races.esp and so on. I've created hundreds of mods but have only published 2 on the Nexus (well 3, one was a favor for someone who didn't own FONV) and 1 here on LL. So my load order is extremely customized.

 

With that said, FAFF NV is load order independent. It shouldn't matter where it occurs in your load order. What matters is that you have a 3rd person skeleton that supports FAFF (either mine or the one that comes with FAFF and perhaps some others I'm unaware of) and that the FAFF animations are properly installed to the correct directories.

 

The main thing I'm concerned about is that it's entirely possible I made an error in my FAFF implementation that myself and others have not noticed and that you have. I'm not entirely sure how I could have though since it's a simple matter of cutting and pasting a tree of nodes from one skeleton to the other but it's certainly possible. That's why I'm asking so many questions... hopefully to figure out whether the error is in your installation or in my skeleton or perhaps even both.

 

Going to check out your load order and after I've given it some thought I'll get back with anything I figure out.

I looked in Sexout.esm and my answer would be no. Every single FAFF animation is in Sexout already. Using the FAFF esp would be redundant. You should be able to use FAFF just as you did with the FAFF esp, i.e. open a console, click an NPC and then type "playidle faff_animation_name" or type "player.playidle faff_animation_name" (but be sure to be in 3rd person, FAFF isn't built into the 1st person skeleton... you can't see your own face in 1st person hehe).
