BulliittGuy Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I've never downloaded a file from LoversLab before. I've downloaded Sybille Stentor Awakened for Skyrim, but I don't know where to put the file
gregathit Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Each mod hosted on this site has a support page (it is right under the download button). That is the proper place to ask questions about that particular mod. As to a general how to, well the absolute best guide to learning the basics is going to be a combination of google and youtube. Here is a vid to start you off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QinA4qD6hXM Well come to the wonderful world of modding, where almost anything is possible. Cheers, Greg
BulliittGuy Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 I actually asked the question on the Sybille page, but wasn't entirely sure it was the right place, since my question was general. Will check the link, tho
KoolHndLuke Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 The files you download from here should be used with your mod manager of choice. There should be a "button" somewhere in your mod manager to add files from your computer- usually in your downloads folder.
gregathit Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Also, check the file itself (usually an archive file) as there generally is a text file labeled "readme" that contains requirements and install instructions. This also is sometimes on the download page (but not always). Different mods install different ways, so there isn't always a one stop shop method for installing them. But as KoolHndLuke stated above, it is best to use a mod manager to help you. Installing mods manually (without a mod manager) is really only for very advanced modders as uninstalling can be an immense pain. How to use a mod manager (there are several options for each game) can also be googled and there are videos that can show you every step. If you get stuck, come back and give us as much info as you can and someone will try to help.
