Is it possible for an automated tool to be developed that converts oldrim mods to SE?

Everyone keeps telling me "convert it yourself" when I ask if it's possible to get an SE version of some mod. I am not tech savvy by any means and so I was wondering if I could download a simple program that would automate the conversion of any mod I throw at it. I know so far that a number of tools are needed to properly convert oldrim mods to SE, so perhaps an All-In-One tool that contains every tool needed and does everything with a single click? and could perhaps take specific parameters in case a mod requires a bit more than a simple conversion? I don't know if such thing is possible. What I do know is that there are 57k mods for oldrim on the Nexus site and only 1/7 of that number for SE. Such a tool could help SE catch up faster. Again I have no idea to what extent this is possible, sorry if it sounds cringy to actual mod developers.

I almost passed out. Given what I understand about mods, I don't foresee anyone even attempting this. There is an armor conversion program that does something similar, but even that takes a process that involves too much information me me to process in my current state.

CK is required for most conversions and is owned by Bethesda so I don't see it happening

You would need a bunch of stuff from various sources for this.

Most of it is not open source, so you can't just trow them together and distribute them legally.

Here are just some of them:

Unpacking BSA Archives (Bethesta property?)

Changing the compression of textures into a supported format. (hard enough to find a working dds-plugin for open source)

changing compression of audio into supported format (Bethesta property?)

Changing and optimizing the Meshes (i dont even...)

Rewriting/updating Scripts multithreading ect. (can this even be automated?)

updating the plugins for compatibility with newer Versions of other Mods (manual labor?)

Opening converting and repacking in CK and probably breaking some facegens or something in the process (Definitive Bethesta property)

Yeah... good luck with automating that in a reliable manner and NOT violate some copyrights and eulas in the process.

the only thing I've found to be easy and -BASICALLY- automatic is converting loose animation files, someone out there was generous enough to write a guide and make a batch script for it
